I like to try new masks every now and then, and I had picked up the H2O Aqualibrium Hydrating Marine Moisture Mask a few months ago. Read on to find out how the mask fared.
$25 for 3.4 oz; I have the travel-sized version.
An intensely hydrating, oil-free treatment infused with marine botanicals to promote firmness and elasticity with Sea Plankton, Red Marine Algae and Hydrating Marine Blend. An intense moisture mask infused with marine botanicals to help improve skin moisturization, firmness and elasticity. Our unique Sea Mineral Complex helps deliver intense moisture to areas that need it most. Red Marine Algae extracts help accelerate skin cell turnover. Combined with sea plankton and sea botanicals of wakame, sea lettuce and sea fennel, and these key ingredients help replenish essential moisture, plumping up the skin and reducing fine surface lines.Proprietary Sea Mineral Complex helps deliver intense moisture to areas that need it most.
How To Apply:
Spread a thick layer over clean skin, avoiding eye area. Wait 10 minutes before rinsing off. Use asneeded to combat dry skin.
My Experience with H2O Aqualibrium Hydrating Marine Moisture Mask:
Packaging: The mask comes in a violet-colored squeezable plastic tube packaging which looks quite attractive. It has a screw on cap which shuts quite tight and there is no danger of the product leaking out. The packaging is quite travel friendly.
Texture/Fragrance: The mask has a cream-like consistency, but it is on the thinner side. Since, it is slightly runny, you can apply only a thin layer of the mask on your face. It spreads easily on the skin. I apply this mask after washing my face with water. It feels a bit tingly for a few seconds after application. As directed, I keep it on for 10 minutes and finally rinse it off. The mask has a wonderful spa-like fragrance which I assume comes from all the exotic marine ingredients.
Performance: This mask claims to improve skin moisturization, firmness and elasticity. Unfortunately, it does not do anything for my skin. I could not find any difference in my skin after using this mask. It did not add any extra hydration nor could I find any other visible effect.
And I tried it on a few times but the result was equally disappointing all the times. I even had a visiting cousin try it out who has drier skin than mine. But, it was a non-performer on her skin type as well.
To summarize, this mask turned out to be quite a dud which did absolutely nothing for my skin.
Pros of H2O Aqualibrium Hydrating Marine Moisture Mask:
- Spreads easily on the skin.
- Travel-friendly packaging.
- Wonderful fragrance.
Cons of H2O Aqualibrium Hydrating Marine Moisture Mask:
- Did nothing to the skin – no added moisture, elasticity or firmness as claimed.
- Expensive for what it does (not do).
