My Experience with H2O+ Elements Shaken Not Stirred Makeup Remover:

The makeup remover comes in a sturdy and sleek transparent plastic bottle packaging with a twist over cap and a narrow opening. I find the packaging pretty user-friendly and travel-friendly as well. The concept “shaken not stirred” seems pretty interesting with that dual-phased liquid, separated as a white translucent oily layer at top and light turquoise liquid base. They form a slightly bubbly sea green mixture upon shaking, which can be used directly to remove eye makeup. Considering I have sensitive watery eyes and I find it hard to remove stubborn waterproof eye makeup post shoots and shows, this remover has finally brought relief in my life.

I just need a few generous drops of the liquid on a cotton pad or swab to gently tap on my eye makeup to get rid of every last trace of makeup while waterproof mascara and liner often require gentle rubbing motion. It is impressive to see that this remover dissolves every kind of heavy eye makeup efficiently in a few swipes. I do need a second round with lashes, though. But I don’t mind going for the second round with lashes as the remover is gentle enough on my lashes and dissolves most of the product in a single swipe. Moreover, I have never experienced any unexpected or unusual shedding of the lashes after switching over to this makeup remover on a regular basis. Hence, I can live with its slow efficiency.

I have been using it for a month and it has never failed to amaze me with its mild, non-stinging and non-irritating liquid which acts tough on every type of long-lasting and waterproof eye makeup. I have used this remover to remove my heavy duty makeup post my shoots and it takes me 2-3 minutes to get rid of every single trace of makeup. I just feel a bit concerned about that shiny finish it leaves on my skin post usage though I can easily wipe it off with dry or damp cotton.

In fact, it does not accentuate my oily skin as, at times, I have even skipped my cleansing routine post using this product. This makeup remover didn’t give me any discomfort or wrong results. It is just that this shiny, slimy layer on my skin irks me at times and I prefer removing it off than feel sorry. Overall, I find it pretty effective at removing even toughest of eye makeup easily. My older makeup remover also does the task, but I like how gentle this one is on my eyes and how it does not cause any irritation.
