H2O+ Waterwhite Advanced Brightening Hydrator Lotion SPF 30 Review

You know I am not much of a skin care review person, makeup is so much easier to do, but since the last 6 months or so, my focus has been on improving the quality of my skin – especially face. No amount of makeup can make-up (pun intended) for good quality skin. So, going forward, I will review some of the skin care I have tried in the last year or so and how it fared for me.

The lotion comes packaged in a metal pump bottle, the packaging looks neat and travel friendly. However, once I did travel with it, a part of the dispenser pump came off.

My Experience with H2O+ Waterwhite Advanced Brightening Hydrator Lotion SPF 30:

I generally prefer serums for targeted action and stick to regular creams for the moisturizing bit. I actually went to the H2O counter and asked for brightening serum, the SA happily pulled this out. And I never bothered to read the name and just bought it! When I reached home, I realized it’s a lotion and not a serum. Bummer!!

I saw review of the cream version of this product on IMBB and it had been rated really high, but was without SPF. So, I was happy to try this since this one had SPF 30 too with added sun protection.

H2O+ Waterwhite Advanced Brightening Hydrator Lotion

It’s a thick lotion, look at the product swatch, it pretty much retains its shape. It spreads easily and gets absorbed, not very readily.  I used it for a week – daily – would invariably get a couple of boils on my chin area. I gave my skin some rest and tried again, same reaction.  I tried using this off and on, but it would always make my skin break out. Also, while I used it, I did not see any brightening effect on my face.

H2O+ website says that it can be used on the hands to prevent them from signs of sun damage. I think that’s what I will use it for! 😉 Maybe I should review it as a hand cream with high sun protection!

H2O+ Waterwhite Advanced Brightening Hydrator Lotion

To sum this up for you:

Pros of H2O+ Waterwhite Advanced Brightening Hydrator Lotion SPF 30:

  • Easily spreads and gets absorbed.
  • Has SPF 30 to fight against sun damage.

Cons of H2O+ Waterwhite Advanced Brightening Hydrator Lotion SPF 30:

  • The product broke me out each time I used it.
  • Did not see any brightening effect while using it.

This was my first H2O+ product, I had been wanting to try their products since ages, but this turned out to be a pure bummer! So did the face brush I picked from them. Will I go back for more as in another product? I honestly don’t think so. I had picked this ages ago but didn’t get around to reviewing it. Since then, I have found some really nice skin care, will be sharing that with you soon.

    1. Exactly my thoughts. KK, you are such a pro at reviewing make up products and looking at all the high quality new brands you introduced to us, I am very excited and looking forward to all your other skin care product reviews. Wanted to let you know I may not get time to comment on all your posts but make a point to read each and every one of them.

    2. Soon Jomol! There are so much skincare stuff I have tried in the last 6 months – I should put up the reviews on priority. This H2O product i picked ages ago – when you had seen my haul, you had commented that you are really looking forward to its review. Skincare reviews just go on a back burner for me. I will remember to prioritise.
