I love highlighting and I am all about anything that makes me look glowy. I do have a few favourite highlighters, but they are all powders since I have oily skin which does look dewy any way. But after all the hype for cream highlighters, I thought I should at least give them a try once and dump if I don’t like them. So, when I saw these gorgeous highlighters in Walmart, I was instantly intrigued. Today, I’ll be reviewing the Hard Candy Sheer Glow All The Way Soft Illuminator in “Blushing Babe.”

My Experience with Hard Candy Blushing Babe Sheer Glow All The Way Soft Glow Illuminator:
Packaging: The product comes in a skin color, flat squeezy tube with a screw cap. The tube says that it is infused with “24 karat gold”, and I’m not really sure about that. Come on, 24-carat gold for $9.99? I don’t know if that contributes to the sheen or slight sparkle in this product. The directions state you can apply to face and body for a “sheer, luminous finish.” The amount you get (76.5 g or 2.7 oz) for the price is pretty great! The packaging itself is sleek and practical which makes it travel friendly.
Color: The colour “Blushing Babe” is a very sheer pink glossy shade with a beautiful silvery sheen to it. If you have a cool skin undertone, “Blushing Babe” will be a great choice for a very natural look.
Pigmentation: Hard Candy Sheer Glow All the Way is a subtle, light illuminator, perfect to mix into moisturizer or bronzer, or layer alone on skin for a fresh, glowy- makeup free look. I used it mixed with my BB cream and foundations for adding a touch of radiance to the face, but that really wasn’t a good idea. I ended up looking like I sprayed glitter all over face. It works best if used with a body lotion and applied to the body for that perfect glow! It catches the light just right and blends amazingly well.
Texture: The texture and feel of this illuminator is like a creamy moisturiser which is soft and smooth and blends really well into the skin. The sheer formula is soft, silky smooth and glides on the skin easily. This gives me a moisturiser-cum-primer like effect when I use it on my face.
Quality: Overall I believe, this can also be used mixed with your moisturizer on the body, and it gives a great, healthy glow, especially to the legs. When used on the body, my skin stays hydrated and supple and the color doesn’t rub or smudge off, or get patchy or flaky during the day. I love this a lot!

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Hard Candy Blushing Babe Sheer Glow All The Way Soft Glow Illuminator?
Overall, this is an amazingly versatile highlighter which is so easy to use on the body, either alone or mixed in with body lotion. This new sheer shade illuminator is somewhat a dupe for Benefit’s High Beam, which is super expensive for a tiny bottle. These large tubes will last forever and they’re a worthwhile investment. I highly recommend this to everyone!
