Continuing with my reviews of lipsticks from the Hard Candy Plumping Serum lipstick range, today, I am reviewing the shade “Fire It Up.” This range has some lovely shades at a very affordable price. So, read on to find out more about this particular shade.

My Experience with Hard Candy Fire It Up Plumping Serum Lipstick:
Packaging: This lipstick comes in a metallic tube packaging with some random creeper vine and heart design. The cap has a little color band at the top which matches the color of the lipstick and also has the shade sticker on it. I found the packaging to be a bit cheap looking, but it is efficient and travel friendly.
Shade/Pigmentation: “Fire It Up” is a gorgeous bright red shade. It is a kind of shade which instantly adds brightness to the face. Of course, it is not a shade which you can wear every day, but will surely look good on special occasions.
The pigmentation of the lipstick is strong and it covers the lips in a single swipe. There is no clumping observed if you layer the lipstick.
Texture/Finish/Lasting Power: The lipstick feels very moisturizing on the lips. It glides like butter and there is no tugging at all. The lipstick almost feels like a balm which can be attributed to the presence of mango butter in its ingredients.
However, the downside of such a creamy lipstick is that there is a lot of slip and the lipstick migrates quite a bit. Also, there is a danger of the bullet melting in hot weather.
This lipstick is marketed as a plumping lipstick. However, it does not sting like other plumping lipsticks and there is no visible plumpness either. The finish of the lipstick is a glossy crème. The shiny glossy finish does give an illusion of slightly fuller lips though.
The staying power of the lipstick is strictly average – it stays put for around 2-3 hours. It transfers heavily and does not survive a full meal.
To summarize, this particular lipstick is a very difficult one as it migrates and transfers a lot. It is a beautiful shade but just too tricky to handle.

- Moisturizing lipstick due to presence of mango butter.

- Very affordable.
Cons of Hard Candy Fire It Up Plumping Serum Lipstick:
- Transfers and migrates a lot.
- Poor staying power.
- No visible plumping effect.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Hard Candy Fire It Up Plumping Serum Lipstick?
Though it is a beautiful shade, I will not recommend this particular shade as it migrates a lot. I would not repurchase the same shade but do possess other shades from the range.
