My Experience with Hard Candy Natural Eyes Neutral Eyeshadow Palette:
Packaging: The Hard Candy Natural Eyes Neutral Eyeshadow Palette comes packaged in an adorable gold metal tin. The plastic tray containing the eye shadows can be easily removed and you can reuse the tin as desired. The tin has a magnetic closure which seems a bit weak, though I have never had the tin getting open accidentally so far. But to be on the safe side, if I were to travel with this palette, I would make sure it is well secured. The packaging is very vintage but might seem bulky for travel.
Inside the tin, you get 9 eye shadows, a mini “Eyes The Limit” eye shadow primer, and a mini “Take Me Out” eyeliner in the shade “Soy.” There is a double-ended sponge tip applicator included with the palette. There is a mirror on the inner lid and also an instructional booklet, which has three different eye looks. Along with the steps to achieve each of these looks, there is an illustration of each look and an actual picture of the look, which is very helpful.
Except for the three eye shadows in the first column, the rest of the eye shadows are pretty small. But for the price, I do think you are getting a really good value with this palette.
Colors and Finish: The layout of the palette is very reminiscent of the Too Faced eye shadow palettes. The shades in this palette are quite similar to Too Faced Natural Eyes palette.
Just like the Too Faced palettes, the eye shadows are placed in three rows, with each row corresponding to a specific look – “Day”, “Drama” and “Evening.”
Unlike most drugstore palettes, the individual shades are named in this palette.
Row “Day” – As the name suggests, the eye shadows in this row are appropriate for a formal day look. The shades are:
Tease – This is a cream shade with a matte finish.
Toying – This is a medium cool brown with a matte finish.
Minx – This is a dark cool brown with a matte finish.
Row “Drama” – The eye shadows in this row are also appropriate for a day look, but for a more informal look, as all of these shadows are shimmery.
Bashful – This is a light pinkish champagne shade with a shimmer finish
Girlie – This is a peach shade with a shimmer finish
Philander – This is a cool dark brown shade with a shimmer finish. This shade contains golden glitter, which feels slightly gritty.
Row “Evening” – The eye shadows in this row are more appropriate for a evening/night time look. This row has a mix of matte and shimmer shades:
Chatty – This is a light cool-toned brown with a matte finish.
Coy – This is a beautiful copper bronze shade with a shimmer finish.
Frisky – This is a warm dark brown shade with a shimmer finish. This shade also contains gold glitter.
Texture: All the eye shadows have a smooth, soft texture. Even the mattes, which are usually very chalky and dry in drugstore palettes, seem to be pretty smooth. They apply easily without any patchiness and are easy to blend. They do generate a bit of fallout. So, as usual, make sure you tap the excess off your brush before you apply.
Pigmentation and Longevity: Pigmentation is quite good across all the shades. These shadows last on my oily lids for the entire day with a good primer. There is no fading or creasing for at least 8 hours.
The “Eyes The Limit” primer that comes with this palette is quite good. I find that it works well for my oily lids. People with dry lids might find it a little bit drying. As for the “Take Me Out” eyeliner, I was expecting this to be the worst as I have not had good results with wooden eye pencils so far. But this is surprisingly smooth and creamy but smudges easily.
Pros of Hard Candy Natural Eyes Neutral Eyeshadow Palette:
- Beautiful neutral shades for everyday use.
- Adorable reusable tin packaging.
- Good pigmentation across shades.
- Smooth texture which is easy to apply and blend.
- Good lasting power over a primer.
- Decent sized mirror available.
- Very helpful instructional booklet.
- Comes with a good eye shadow primer and eye liner.
- Inexpensive.
Cons of Hard Candy Natural Eyes Neutral Eyeshadow Palette:
- The magnetic closure of the palette does not seem very strong.
IMBB Rating:
4.5/5
Do I Recommend Hard Candy Natural Eyes Neutral Eyeshadow Palette?
This palette is definitely a good value for your money. If you already own enough neutral palettes, then you can skip this, as the shades are very dupable. But if you are on the lookout for a good inexpensive neutral palette, do check this out.

Hi Neha, Unfortunately Hard Candy is not available in India, as far I know. But this is part of their permanent line. So you could wait for someone visiting the US/Canada to get it for you.
