My Experience with Hask Keratin Protein Smoothing Shine Oil:

The packaging is in a dark brown plastic vial with a small lid. It doesn’t have a dropper or pump, so you just have to tilt to take out the product. Essential product information is printed on the bottle. The tiny bottle is super travel friendly, just need to be a bit careful while taking out the product.

The fragrance is super pleasant. It has a nice floral fragrance which feels very relaxing and pleasant on the senses. It lingers around for some time before slowly fading away. I really like the scent of this oil.

The oil is transparent, very lightweight and unlike regular oils. I take it in my palm and rub it between both palms. It feels very silky and slippery, but not oily or greasy at all. It is more of a silicone-based serum. It helps in taming frizz and fly-aways. My hair feels very different after using this. There is softness and smoothness without my hair getting weighed down or looking limp. For my thick mane, 3-4 drops suffice. It helps in easy detangling, and even on days when I skip my conditioner, this oil reduces my woes.

I use it on both dry and wet hair, and frankly, I don’t know which one I like better. It works well for me either ways. On my slightly dry hair (air dryed), I apply it and run my fingers to ease out knots. It helps in imparting smooth and soft hair. On days when my hair is dull and rough, I use a bit of this oil, and comb well to spread it evenly, Voila, it’s easier to fake a good hair day with this Hask Smoothing Shine Oil.

It helps in reducing hair breakage due to brittle and rough hair. Easier combing=lesser breakage. I don’t know if this keratin oil ‘strengthens’ hair, but it surely lives up to the product claims. Smooth and shiny hair without going to salon!
