Last week’s shopping:
Health and glow, Maybelline, Vaseline, Marks and Spencer, Body Shop:
Last week we were on a spree for Diwali discovering all the malls in Chennai with in laws who had a hard time controlling me from barging in all make counters here and there.Nevertheless I did manage to drop in the body shop and health and glow from where I picked up the stuff that caught my eye. Nothing else. Also, I discovered a beyu counter there but did not know what to pick up. So here goes:
Light hydrating jelly aloe fresh:it’s a new release in a new pack so I had to pick it up. The counter had the regular pure one too but nothing fancy. This one is kind of less dense than the regular one and good for cuticles and lipstick stain removal, that’s how I plan to use it. It has a mild aloe fragrance(price rs 40 for 50 ml)
Gentle protective jelly:baby
It has very cute pink packaging and so I picked it up. The counter had only the 25 ml pack which is for 25 rs. This is also lighter than the regular Vaseline and the tub is very small and pretty to carry around. It has a light floral fragrance and is intended for use for nappy rash and gentle enough for baby’s dry skin woes. use it as you like. Vaseline can never go out of use.
Total moisture 24 hour moisturising cream:with milk honey and vitamin e & glycerine(any winter problem one 24 hour problem)
Dry knees and legs, dry area around the lips, winter damaged skin, dry arms and elbows, cracked heels, itchy skin.
It has vitamin e for nourishment and repair, honey for natural glow, milk cream for soft and smooth skin and glycerine for healthy and moisturised skin.
It’s a regular thick cream for winter woes again to be applied all over body. I just use it for my hands, Chennai has no winters so I picked up a 20 gram tube for rs 22. good to carry along for unsightly dry hands and nails and cuticles. I would say the tube is pretty unattractive.
Health and glow tea tree toner:
Purifying and refreshing that says tea tree products provide and invigorating experience that both stimulates the skin and cleanses the same of impurities as it has antiseptic properties.
Directions for use:
Use as a toner after cleansing or to refresh and hydrate the skin at any time of the day or mix with urn face pack (price rs 99 for 200 ml)
It’s a nice tea tree toner for oily skin and has a spray bottle so I love to spray it right on the face when I need it. Looks very herbal so I like it.
I also picked up lakme nine to five dual action make up remover after Sabrina showed us her birthday haul. Thanks Sabrina:)
Shohan nipper nose strips assorted pack of five was also available at health and glow which has a charcoal, green tea, mud, regular, and vitamin nose strips. These work well enough but will need to use them frequently. Rs 102 for 5 strips.
I also could not resist two very pretty looking colorama nail enamels, in crème and artistica. The artistica one is called glitter prata and is simple silver glitter nail paint. The crème one is called amancher and dries to a very sophisticated crème finish. Price rs 85 for 8 ml. they have come up with very bright fluorescent colours too like orange etc.
Health and glow had a very nice stock of street wear products. I just picked up cute petutti fx eyes eye shadow for using as eye shadow bases. That’s all. I find it to be a glitter pot. Disastrous. Price rs 99 for 1.1 gram.
I also picked up very essential cotton pads by Helen Harper price rs 130 for 120 pads which work very well with lakme make up remover. The size is good enough and better than the vOv cotton pads that are too small I feel.
Last but not the least I went to the body shop to pick up tea tree blotting tissues suitable for blemished skin and these soak up excess oil for a matte finish. these work well enough but if find them too small. In the process I fell in love with the Satsuma shimmer lip balm and a ton of other lip balms like pick guava for which I essentially need to make another visit.price rs 175 for 65 sheets.
What else, to my surprise I found a Faces counter in the same skywalk mall to which I was ecstatic. So after reading Mrunmayee’s faces eye shadow review, I need to go to the counter especially for that. Thanks Mrun for telling us about the gold stackable eye glitter they have because that’s on top of my list now. 🙂
All you Chennai ladies who were wondering where to get faces cosmetics, please try out ampa skywalk mall.
Marks and spencer the floral collection rose moisture rich shower cream was gift and I am loving the smooth texture. It’s a luxurious foaming shower cream formulated to gently cleanse leaving skin soft and smooth. To use gently massage over your body before rinsing thoroughly. It smells very strongly of roses 🙂 so this was my mixed bag shopping in Chennai since I am still discovering the amazing malls the city has. Loving it.
