Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse Review

Chemical treatments definitely look great but as time passes by, we come to understand that they have taken a toll on our hair. I have been treating my hair since I was a teenager and I realised that my hair volume had totally gone away. Since my hair is naturally very thin and limp, I am always on a hunt for volumizing products but not a lot have worked well! I got a new mousse from Herbal Essences, so let’s see whether this lived upto its claims or not!

My Experience with Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse:

Herbal Essences has been one of my favourite brands when it comes to hair care majorly because of its super girly and vibrant packaging and the heavenly fragrances that the products have! I got this super big bottle of volumizing mousse from this brand. The bottle is a slim and a giant one with vibrant poppy orange and white packaging. It is pretty light in weight so we can carry it around easily.

The best part about this volumizing mousse is that it is really cheap if compared to other brands. It has a spray nozzle which lets the foam out and I literally have fun using this because of its unique shape. When you pump it, it gives a boost of citrusy foam which looks very similar to shaving foams. The foam just has to be worked up in damp hair to add bounce to your hair. The moment I work it in my roots it just disappears! My hair does feel a little heavy when I initially use it but it soon feels like it has evaporated and my hair becomes normal again. The moment I pump the foam in my palm, it releases its super amazing citrusy burst which just revives and relaxes the senses.

Herbal Essences fragrances are just something to die for! The aromatic scent precisely smells like a blended smoothie of oranges and peaches. Ahhhh you will definitely fall for its scent! The scent lasts for a couple of hours in my hair making them smell refreshing and fruity. Now coming to its main aim- the volume! A blow dryer has to be used when using this product or else there would be no visible results. I applied the product and blow dried my hair and yes I could see a lift around my roots. I did not apply it on the entire hair because I had a fear of thick crunchy hair. But no, it did not make my roots crunchy or anything!

My hair was soft as usual. My hair looked a bit volumized and I could see a difference. But I could see the difference because I knew I have used something on my hair otherwise no one could have noticed it. I was pretty okay with the results because at this price I wasn’t expecting miracles! A little lift and volume was good for me. But if you want that extraordinary volume which is very much noticeable, then this product is not for you! The root lift stayed on for a day and then I had to use a fresh pump of product the next day. Overall I would simply say that the more you pay, the more you get!

Pros of Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse

• A huge fully filled bottle at a very cheap price.
• The packaging is really attractive and vibrant in white and poppy orange.
• It is convenient to use and carry since it is lightweight and has a pump nozzle.
• It has a foam formula and can be worked easily onto your hair in a minute.
• It gives a lift to the roots adding volume around the scalp area.
• It did not feel thick or crunchy at any point.
• The fragrance is heavenly with a strong citrus aroma and smells like a sweet fruity blend of juicy oranges and peaches.

Cons of Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse:

• Not available in India.
• It cannot be exactly called a body-booster because it just gives a little lift and not some extraordinary volume.
• It has to be used every day to get some volume; if used one day it will be gone by the next day.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse?
I am not really sure! At this price it seriously couldn’t do any better but it just adds some lift to my roots and not some volume that I would be surprised to look at. Hence if you have some volumizing product which works wonders for you, do stick to it and let me know too, if not then give this a chance for a little lift!

Conclusion:
I have tried the entire body envy range from herbal essences and they did not give any major volume to my hair! They are some good hair products with really delicious and fruity fragrances but as far as volume is concerned, they weren’t that great!
