Herbal Essences Drama Clean Refreshing Shampoo Review
Today, I am going to review Herbal Essences Drama Clean shampoo. I use so many products including hold sprays, dry shampoo sprays, and leave-on creams on hair that frequent washing with shampoos has now become necessary. I was in search of a shampoo that cleans the hair of build-up formed by using so many products. When I saw this shampoo, I immediately took a liking to this, as green is my favorite color and it made me remember my “shampoo means green bottle (Garnier )” phase in my college days and “shampoo means blue bottle (clinic plus or all clear)” phase in school days. I still have the tendency to pick either a blue-colored or green-colored shampoo from the shampoo aisle 😛
It’s so refreshing to meet someone like you! Come clean with my normal hair shampoo, with a fusion of citrus blossom and green tea, for hair that is renewed, refreshed and ready to go. get light, lush locks with all the lather, but none of the gunk. This little soap opera isn’t over yet! After lathering up with my normal hair shampoo, try my fresh-headed conditioner.
How To Use:
You know the drill: Rinse and repeat this cleaning lather. Feeling lightheaded yet?
Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Citric Acid, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Flower Extract, Zea Mays (Corn) Silk Extract, Fragrance/Parfum, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Xylenesulfonate, Cocamide Mea, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Benzoate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Linoleamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Yellow 10, Blue 1.
$3 for 300 mL (10.1 fl oz).
My Take on Herbal Essences Drama Clean Refreshing Shampoo:
The “Drama Clean” shampoo has become one of my favorite shampoos. I had not many expectations from this shampoo as most of the Herbal Essences shampoo variants are not that successful, but this one proved to be a good one from Herbal Essences. Here is how it became one of my favorites.
It has a pleasant fruity smell. It’s not an overwhelming smell, so sensitive noses need not worry.
It lathers nicely with a decent amount of shampoo. I love lathers and find non-lathering shampoos a bore. So, this shampoo scored on me on that front too.
Now, to its biggest plus. It cleans the hair and scalp well, even the oily hair and scalp. It washes out all the build-up and hair feels squeaky clean. This one is surely for oily to normal hair. It may be too drying for dry hair and scalp. Massaging a little oil to hair and scalp before shampooing will help reduce the drying effect to a great extent. I use this shampoo once a week and find my hair in good condition. I did not see any damage to hair after using this shampoo. It doesn’t reduce hair fall, but neither did it worsen hair fall.
Pros of Herbal Essences Drama Clean Refreshing Shampoo:
- Cleans the hair well and washes out all the build-up.
- Nice fruity fragrance.
- Lathers well.
- Only a small amount is needed for washing hair compared to other shampoos.
- Didn’t cause hair fall or dandruff or any other hair damage.
- Didn’t dry my normal to oily hair.
- Less costly compared to other build-up removing shampoos.
- Contains green tea.
- Cute packaging.
- Easily available.
Cons of Herbal Essences Drama Clean Refreshing Shampoo:
- May dry and damage extreme dry hair.
Will I Repurchase Herbal Essences Drama Clean Refreshing Shampoo?
Yes, for removing build-up, this is my favorite shampoo.
Do I Recommend Herbal Essences Drama Clean Refreshing Shampoo?
Yes, definitely for oily hair and for dry hair, apply oil to hair before shampooing.

I find HE shampoo dries out my hair and scalp
even after oiling. But I love them for the varied fragrances and how they linger on the hair all day.
yea, its fragrance is nice and lingers through the whole day 🙂
i have used this one 🙂 I really liked it but then I got to know that it has silicones too, so i stopped using it 🙁
i am using it mainly once a week…think it might be too much if used more than twice weekly
I am using the same herbal essence shampoo but the blue dibbi walaa..
i bought it in offer.. but now desperately waiting to finish it offf..
neither great nor miracle. As Harman said wanna stop using this as it has silicons in it.
sounds great laxmishree. I quite liked the name.. drama clean. 😛
yea…it’s name is quite unique Rati… most of its variants have also very unique names too, that you wont expect on a shampoo 🙂
This is how I feel today. I’m sick. But I did get the new, improved Drama Clean AND their tea tree shampoo. Both smell really amazing. They do remove buildup. I was using Suave but for whatever reason, my hair wasn’t getting clean. Their conditioners suck too.
