Herbal Essences Naked Sheer Shine Mist Review

I am sure that this is not just me (at least I am hoping there are more like me) but hair turns into a huge frizz ball in the summer. Cooler weather works wonders for my hair and it just behaves better in the air conditioning, on an aircraft or in the winter. My hair will be smooth and frizz free and then all of a sudden BAM! Summer comes and it looks like a scary clown wig on steroids. For the summer I am always looking for hair products that are light and that can control my frizz and I want to share something with you ladies today that I accidentally found and that accidentally does just that! (With other bonus things too, that it does!)

This is the first product that I have used from the Herbal Essences Naked line and with the way my steamy love affair with this bottle is going hopefully this will not be the last thing I try from the Naked line. The Sheer Shine Mist comes in a fuss free white plastic bottle and it is such a joy to just look at this bottle in the heat. I love the packaging and colours on it! The spray works well and the plastic lid on top is firm and secure. Let us more straight on!

Product claims
This product description/claim doesn’t make much sense to me at all and it sounds like the people over at Herbal Essences were more likely drinking this stuff than spraying it in their hair, but I’ve screen shot it for you guys anyway!

USD 3.99 for 150 ml of product but I grabbed this baby for a dollar less on sale! Regardless it is worth the full four!

My experience with the Herbal Essences Naked Sheer Shine Mist:

This is one amazing bottle. This Sheer Shine Mist is paraben and dyes free and it does more than what it claims to do. Let me start by telling you about its amazing smell! It smells like a minty refreshing cocktail rather than hair mist- it is perfect for a hot sunny day! Now I was always a wash and go kind of person, especially in the summer but the heat was never kind on my hair. This product has changed my hair completely. I sense a Holy Grail product in the making I tell you.

Not only does this spray make your hair shiny, like that is some serious shine I tell you, but it also helps tame my frizzy mane as it air dries. You do not need a lot of this product to get the shine part going and I initially used to only spray it on the top of my mane because that is where I figured I would need most of the shine happening, but once I saw how well it calms my frizz down I started spraying it all through my hair once it combed out the tangles in my wet hair. Now I do not even remove the tangles and just spray it directly because it helps detangle my hair too. Seriously what more could I ask for!

This does have castor oil and arvensis oil listed in the ingredients but it does not feel oily at all once you spray it on, so none of that yucky and greasy feel. Big bonus! Also there are no silicones in here so my fine hair does not get weighed down. Bigger bonus! All that with the minty fruity fragrance is just a big winner! Just make sure you do not spray it too close to your hair, you want the mist to work in your hair not just spray too close and make your hair damp with this product. I swear I feel like my hair responds so much better when I straighten my hair after spraying some of this stuff on as well.

The spray mechanism also works quite well. My tip to hold it away from your head is only because this will not spray evenly if you hold it too close as this is not a pressurised container. This works best for me when I work it into my damp hair. When I use this on dry hair I only get the shine effect and not the de frizz and the rest.

Yes to both! This product really surprised me and has worked really really well with my hair. Herbal Essences do make great products though and they are usually very pocket friendly too so I would definitely recommend you grab one and try it out!
