Herbal Essences Naked Volumizing Souffle

Herbal Essences Naked Volumizing Souffle

I have been using the Herbal Essences Naked Volumizing Soufflé for this entire month. The thing that caught my eye immediately was their ‘Naked’ hair products collection which claims to contain absolute no dyes or silicone and it also contains mint extracts. Since I have been trying to give my hair a break this summer and avoid all the heat products possible, I decided I should give in and try this out.

The Herbal Essences Naked Volumizing Soufflé comes in a white bottle with a picture of green mints in the bottom area. The top nozzle dispenses white mousse. The consistency is like any other mousse I have used but it is still very light weight and not sticky. I apply about a quarter sized amount to my damp hair. I mainly focus on the roots and crown area but I do apply the left over all the way down to roots (but not too much). After that I usually let my hair air dry or give a light blow out to my hair. Either way I am left with a beautiful shine to my hair which is not overwhelming. I get the same results that are promised in the description. When I blow dry, my hair is lifted from the roots and they are definitely volumized. When I just let it air dry, I still get plenty of volume in my hair, though it is not the same as when I blow dry (obviously) but I am definitely satisfied with the results. I really appreciate that it does not weigh down my hair since I naturally have an oily scalp. I usually have a problem with most volumizing mousses because they weigh down my hair but this product does not create buildup if I use the right amount of product. Also, my hair stays the same for more than half the day, which I am very impressed with. The scent is one of my favorite things about this product. The smell is really refreshing and fresh. It makes my hair smell really good and the scents lasts a pretty long time. Though they mention that the scent is like mint, I don’t actually smell any mint, I just smell a fruity kind of fresh scent. Overall, I am very glad that I gave this product a chance. It really gives my hair a nice and clean refreshed look plus the volume that I need.
