Hibiscus Hair Mask To Prevent Dry Hair and Dandruff In Winter
By Monomita
Hello Beautiful Ladies, back I am, with this awesome and super easy DIY hair mask to prevent dry, frizzy hair and along with dandruff that most of us experience in winter. I have damaged hair and I was so upset and badly wanted to treat my dry, damaged, frizzy hair with some home made stuff to bring back the lush my hair once had. I was picking flowers for some purpose and this DIY recipe struck my mind! I tried making it and it worked wonderfully. Let’s get into the details now.
Things We Need:
o 2 teaspoon of coconut oil
o 2 teaspoon of olive oil
o 2 teaspoon of castor oil
o 1 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds
o 1-2 hibiscus (china-rose) flower
o Frying pan
o Mortar and Pestle / Grinder.
How to Make It:
o Take a frying pan and roast 1 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds till they turn dark brown in color covering the pan and shaking the pan frequently. (Covering is required since fenugreek seeds splatter like anything).
o Grind them and powder them.
o Take the powdered fenugreek seeds in a container, add all the oils and 1-2 hibiscus.
o Boil the mixture.
o Let it cool down a bit and apply on your scalp and hair while it is still warm and massage and comb through your hair thoroughly.
Tips:
• You can either strain it and keep the oil in a bottle and use it in future or you can keep it as it is and re-warm it before next use (remember don’t boil it again before your next use only re-warm it).
• Always use wooden comb, it promotes hair growth and increases blood circulation in scalp!!
Benefits of Olive Oil:
o It moisturizes hair.
o If you have dry, frizzy, damaged hair with split ends, olive oil is your best friend. It cures all the above mentioned problems easily.

o An acid named ricinoleic is present in castor oil that stimulate blood circulation in scalp and fights hair loss.
o Like I said it stimulate blood circulation in scalp that also boosts hair growth and also provide omega-6 fatty acids that is one the important agents for hair growth.
o Vitamin E and amino acids present in castor oil stops hair breakage and split ends.
Benefits of Fenugreek (Methi):
o Helps to get rid of dandruff.
o Strengthens hair strand from the root and solves hair follicle problems.
o They are pretty effective against itchiness and dry, flaky scalp.
o Have your ever soaked fenugreek?? I guess you have noticed the slippery texture it produces after being soaked, that’s lecithin, it is an emulsifying substance. It’s the thing that gives shine, helps hair follicle to retain moisture and keep it hydrated.
