I am seldom able to finish body lotions and then the season changes before I get bored of the same lotion. I bought this on an impulsive visit to the Himalaya store (which I happen to love) and picked this up with the Clarina acne range as well. How cute can the names get for herbal products?

My Experience with Himalaya Althea Lotion:
For the coming winter months, I get that annoying white, dry, flaky skin on my lower legs for sure. Overall, I have normal body skin, but for flakes, I needed a good lotion, and this product came to my rescue. I own a lot of Nivea lotions that come in pump bottles. So, if you have tried the intensive range from Nivea meant for dry skin, and have gotten bored of it, then this is for you!
It seems and looks very medicated, but trust me, this is just a normal lotion meant for dry skin, nothing too greasy or bothersome. In fact, it easily would substitute your current lotion for the coming winters if elbow and knee dryness is a bother for you.
This lotion hardly smells of anything, it is not oily or sticky. This feels just like your lotion, I feel this coats the skin so well, that I can forget about body lotion application till the time I have another bath. This lotion absorbs so well into the skin, without any sticky or oily layer to my surprise. The flakes are gone in one or two applications. I do get some sort of itchy (those small dots on the skin with slight dryness) skin sometimes post wax and this lotion helps to soothe it down.
If you think you have dry skin which needs medical help, do not self medicate. I find this a good enough winter lotion but nothing to heal eczema or the like. I am quite happy with how seriously this lotion works. You need lesser product, it gets absorbed well and no sticky layer. Voila!

Cons of Himalaya Althea Lotion:
- Not meant to used as a medication for very dry skin problems, in my opinion.
- You may find that it is finishing up sooner than you know.
- It is not very fragrant, in case you wanted it to.
- You may have to visit the store or order online, as I have not seen it commonly available.
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Himalaya Althea Lotion?
Yes, why not, try it for winters and you will not be disappointed.
