Himalaya Clear Complexion Whitening Day Cream
Recently I shopped some stuff, both makeup and skin care. Here’s the review of the day cream from Himalaya; the Himalaya Clear Complexion Whitening Day Cream.
INR 250 for 50 ml
My Take on Himalaya Clear Complexion Whitening Day Cream:
I don’t buy much from Himalaya because most of the times I’ve experienced that the products don’t deliver the claims. The Neem Face Wash is an exception though. 😛 I love using BB creams on a daily basis, but the winter is making my skin dry and BB creams don’t cure dryness. I am too lazy to layer up a moisturizer before the BB cream, and most times I am running late. So I instantly bought this when I spotted it.
The cream comes in a glass tub which is housed in a box. The matte finished glass tub indeed looks adorable, but it is no way ergonomic. I have this habit of dropping things, so this is not something I can hold. It is not travel-friendly either. Tub packaging is also a bit unhygienic. The details are elaborately given all over the box.
The cream is beige in color and has a decent smell to it. I am extremely fond of the light texture of this cream. It gets absorbed after a little massage and makes my skin soft and smooth. On the brighter side, it is free from alcohol and parabens, and the ingredient list is also pretty good. I was puzzled to find ‘cetearyl alcohol’ on the list though, but when I looked it up I found that it is derived naturally; so no harm. It also has a natural sun protection.
I have slightly oily skin, but also dry patches here and there. This cream works beautifully. I just set it with a bit of powder and I’m good to go. It moisturizes my skin and at the same time doesn’t contribute to the oiliness. So coming to the main claim, I have fair skin and I haven’t noticed any miraculous effects on my skin tone nor has it lightened my spots. They’re there. Well, I’ve just been using this for about two weeks now, so I wonder. My only complaint with this is that it is a bit pricey for the quantity, and the glass tub! Nevertheless I like it.
