Himalaya Herbals Haul and Quick Reviews

Remember I told you guys about the Himalaya store the other day. I went hauled a few products from here. Except the Himalaya Hydrating Face wash, all others are repurchases.

Himalaya Herbals

Himalaya Gentle Exfoliating Apricot Scrub (Rs 80 for 50 gm):

Claims : Gently exfoliates dead skin cells and blackheads. Unclogs pores. Deep cleanses the facial skin and stimulates fresh cell growth to keep the skin soft and glowing. Routine cleansing does not remove the dead skin cells and deeply embedded impurities, leaving the skin lifeless and prone to blackheads. Exfoliation is necessary. Gentle Exfoliating Apricot Scrub has Apricot kernel granules that gently scrub the skin to remove dead skin cells and blackheads. Wheatgerm oil, rich in natural vitamin E, moisturizes the skin and Apple provides nourishment for a healthy, glowing skin.

I have used this scrub for years and years now. I solely buy this for the tip of my nose where I need scrubbing almost every other day to remove my black heads.

It has a creamy base, has coarse apricot granules and smells a little medicinal to me. For overall face scrubbing I find it a little harsh for my dry skin but for nose tip, it’s just fine. I also use it for my elbows and feet. Works well there also. Overall,a decent scrub.

Himalaya Herbals Apricot Scrub

Himalaya Herbals Toner ( Rs 70 for 100 ml):

Claims : Refreshes and tones the skin. Reduces oil secretion and keeps the skin oil-free. Gentle Refreshing Toner purifies and refreshes your skin. This alcohol-free toner removes the impurities and makes pores appear small. Lemon and Jasmine cleanse and refresh your skin, while Sensitive plant controls excess oil secretion. Sweet marjoram nourishes the skin to keep it radiant and healthy.

I find this toner quite refreshing but I don’t feel it keeps the skin oil free. It works as a light moisturizer, wonder how could it keep the skin oil free. It smells pleasent, does not leave my skin dry, is alcohol free  and I feel quite refreshed after applying it. The only irritating thing with this is the bottle. This a tiny hole that you have to make for the toner to come out. If the hole is big you will always have problems of of getting more than required and if the hole is tiny, it’s all the more irritating. I don’t get into all these hassles. I just transfer kit to my spray a bottle and make my life easy.

Like it a lot. 🙂

Himalaya Herbals Fruit Pack

Himalaya Hydrating Face Wash: (Rs 40 for 50 gm)

Soap-free daily use face wash to cleanse and refresh your skin.
A gentle face wash that nourishes and moisturizes your skin while cleansing it. Unlike soaps, Gentle Face Wash Cream does not leave the skin dry and feeling stretched. Enriched with Aloe vera that nourishes, and moisturizes and Cucumber that cools and soothes the skin, it leaves your skin soft, supple and refreshed.

Thi is a new product that I bought. I have used it thrice so far and I think I am going to like it. It’s very creamy and does not leave my skin dry or stretchy. It smells okayish, I think very similar to the neem face wash..It doe not say that it is soap free . It’s like a normal pleasant face wash. If it’s not going to do any good to my skin, I know it not going to harm for sure.

Himalaya Herbals Hydrating face Wash

Himalaya Gentle Baby Wipes: (Rs 27 for 12 sheets)

Claims : cleanses, moisturizes and keeps the baby skin soft. An effective combination of herbs that, moisturizes and keeps the delicate skin soft. Aloe vera ensures moisture balance to keep your baby’s skin soft and supple. The Indian Lotus keeps the skin dry and smooth.

I jut love these wipes. They are wet wipes and I mostly use them after removing my complete makeup or even while doing the makeup, I keep a sheet with me. I don’t know if you have realized this but even your best face cleanser leaves some foundation or makeup behind. You may just wash your face as well but I like to wipe my face with these wipes and then wash. These are cottony soft, smell like a *baby* (you know how babies smell when you apply some Johnson’s baby powder on them and then they smell so clean and happy. Aww!!) and leave my face baby soft.

Himalaya Herbals Baby Wipes Earlier I bought the pack of 72 sheets but I realized that the last few sheets dried up. they were still very soft but that defeated their whole purpose. Now I am going to go for smaller packs.

Love these completely.

  1. I love Himalaya products, but I have hits and misses in their range..

Their body lotions, face pack etc suit me…But the walnut scrub and shampoo don’t work so good 🙁

But all in all its a good brand.

Will try the baby wipes. I have been using Helen Harper and J&J baby wipes..But found them a bit too expensive for daily usage.

  2. I am kind of neutral to their range. Don’t lurrrveee them but they have been decent so far.

I would say the wipes for Himalaya are also expensive only. The pack of 72 costs around RS 121.

How much is the Johnson’s for?

    And good morning. 🙂

  3. Hey….

    Good morning.. :cute:

I am not too sure of the exact price as I did not carry them while travelling..Will let you know when I am back home. But its definitely above 200 🙁

    1. oh! then I guess Himalaya wipes is a better option. And these are such use and throw things. Can’t afford to use expensive stuff so carelessly.

Happy traveling. Just enjoy yourself. 🙂

Lovely haul Rati!I am going to buy the Toner and baby wipes from Himalaya.I was thinking of buying these two for a long time.(Our buying list never seems to end,na?)Your post reminded me.Thanks.

  5. Hi Rati,

For professional reasons I reside at a remote part of the country. I want to buy Lakme products ( Night Fever by Suneet Verma) online. Can you refer me websites where I can place orders?

    Sharmistha

    1. Hi Sharmi,

      Welcome to IMBB. 🙂

If you could tell me which part of the country you are located, I may ask Lakme guys regarding the same.

      1. Hi Rati,

Thank you for replying so fast. I am located at Hirakud near Sambalpur (Orissa). I checked all the cosmetic shops at Sambalpur . None of them has the new collection from Lakme. They either sell fake or expired cosmetics. Waiting to get help from you

        Sharmi

  6. I was using their cleansing milk for a long time . That was the first skin care product I tried and I liked it . I have used their night cream too. But din notice any difference . It smelled good though 🙂

  7. I completely love Himalaya gentle exfoliating face wash….Infact some time back when my current tube was about to get over and I went to buy it I couldnt find it at arnd 4-5 stores…it was out of stock….then I somehow got a tube from old stock from a shop and bght it…last weekend the beauty store seemed to have got new stocks and I was so happy to see the FW and with the fear that it might got OFS again I bght 2 tubes 😉

On the other hand, I didnt really like the cream face wash…I like my facewashes with some gentle exfoliating beads so cream facewash didnt really work for me…

Does the hydrating facewash have exfoliating beads??

I’ve seen the peel-off masks at stores but havnt tried…since the fruit face pack didnt do any wonders for me I was thinking of trying that next…will let u knw if I try…

I soo want to go to Himalaya standalone store now…somehow I do like himalaya products…

    1. me too i did not like their cream face wash
also HD this beauty store is like a dept store or what…..i mean can i spend some time there in peace without ppl trying to sell products …just keen as i will be coming to bombay soon

also, there is a Himalaya store in pune at MG road……in case you come over
i am also too keen to go there

      1. Its not entirely like a dept store….In some sections there are products displayed like the dpt store so no one wud really bother u while ur browsing thru stuff there, for cosmetics n other stuff like Lotus, Himalaya etc they hv individual counters so u wud be attended by a particular SA there…..though I hvnt come across any very pushy kinds….the best part about the store is you get makeup n bodycare products of various brands all under 1 roof at discounted rates!!

Lemme knw when u plan to come…i’ll give u the addresses…

I do have a tentative trip being planned to pune but nothing very concrete right now

        1.
oh ya great …tell me if you wanna know any brands to find here …..visit pune central…both of them

    2. No the hydrating face wash does not have any exfoliating beads. It’s just nice creamy facewash and leaves my skin soft after using it.

Sometimes you love the product so much that you have to have back ups of those. Now I need to try that as well. he he

The list goes on and on. 😀

  8. oh i have the peel off mask. i find it much better than the golden glow something one from everyuth? i guess. it comes off more easily, without tugging much at the skin, though it still does a bit. i don’t know whether it’s done anything for my skin though. i use such stuff just coz it feels so nice 😉
all in all, i love himalaya. its foot care cream works wonders too. my mother swears by it.

    1. My foot cream is getting over so my eyes are on that only. Also Ki gave a good review to it so that is def on my list.

I know they are so sasta and sunder kind of products that I also like to pick them up every now and then. 🙂

      1. The Himalaya foot cream is really good. What I like most about it is that it is not sticky.I used two tubes of this foot cream.

  9. wow they have come up with so many new face washes
i have used most of the above products from the haul 😛
still have their foaming face wash its so unique…..the bottle dispenses only foam ….no gel or anything..

      1. naah rati the foaming face wash comes in one size only! do use it. it’s a foamy, frothy dream. no need to build up lather blah blah. i like it better than the regular neem wash that himalaya carries. plus the pump is so great that the product is used till the very end, no wastage.
.-= Rima Kaur´s last blog ..Beneath The Smiles =-.

        1. OMG!! I ahve like 4 face washes right now. 😛 And Now I want this and want this. Boo hoo!! Let me finish at least one first super soon. 😛

    1. Yeah, the packaging is new . You must check out the wipes. They are very soft. They don’t remove the makeup because they are very gentle but they lean your face after you have cleansed your face with the cleanser or even during the makeup you may use them to correct the mistakes. 🙂

  10. i have used himalaya baby wipes.they r good but they sting my eyes so i buy jhonsons wipes these days.i have used cream face wash & i like it.

        1. I never use it on my eyes. I just clean my eye makeup with either kaya makeup remover or olive oil. So never faced any such problem. It leaves my face clean and fresh after using it so I love using it . 🙂

      1. sorry 4 the late reply rs.jhonsons wipes r really good & they don’t sting eyes.i don’t remember the exact price but i got the bigger 1 with 60 wipes i think & its cost was arnd 150 rs.thats what i rem.i have purchased them just 1ce. i went 2 get another1 but the shopkeeper din’t had the stock so he gave me nivea soft creame baby & facial wipes.i m liking it too but the cloth is too thin. its gentle too and effectively removes make up as jhonson’s 1. 2 me both r good n gentle. nivea wipes r more economical.the pack contains 70 wipes for 120rs.if the cloth thickness doesn’t bothers u, my advice is go 4 nivea. its equally efficient as jhonsons.thx.

  11. I am not a huge fan of their products….they are kind of okay for me……..body lotion worked for me, fruit pack was so-so…..but I guess the priice is quite okay, so I do pick them once in a while and they do come in CSD on a regular basis, so I get it a much subsidised rate! 😀

  12. i like 2 of their face washes just bcoz they contain mint. 1 is gentle face wash cream & another is clearifying face wash.the qualoity is just ok.the later dries skin a bit & is good 4 ppl with oily skin.it feels amazing due 2 menthol in it.its new range of shampoos is good too.though it made my hair soft, i feel i sud continue with jhonson’s baby shampoo.

    1. i was abt to buy himalaya kohl but then rati tld me that lotus kohl doesn’t smudge much & i m liking it.will try himalaya kohl sometime.

  13. Hey! I just found your site, looks interesting!
If you have the Himalaya body lotion (either for normal or sensitive skin) could you please write me down the ingredients on the package? It would be a big help for me.. Because I found them online and I would like to order them, but I must see the ingredients first and I can’t find them anywhere…

  14. :joker: hey,,,i wanna know if i can use himalaya toner and himalaya face moisturizing lotion after cleansing my face with their cleansing milk???? ?:) ?:) ?:) i am eagerly waiting for IMBB review on himalaya face moisturizing lotion :waiting: ..i have heard a lot about the lotion but guys to keep my faith in the product,,,your review is a must 😉 :waytogo: i have a normal skin type which often tends oily in summers….so do you think CTM with himalaya products will work 4 me?? waiting 4 ur honest replies.. :waiting: :waiting: :waiting: :thanks: :inlove:

  15. I have used the Himalaya peel-off face mask, amazing stuff…I have combination skin post several teenage acne flares and this peel off is so calming and in this terrible summer its literally a breath of fresh, cool air…Two thumbs up! 🙂
