Skin Type: Normal to Dry
I have shopped for few winter essentials recently and I am here to share my experience with one of those products. Today, I am sharing my views on Himalaya Herbals Winter Defense Moisturizing cream. My skin is becoming more and more dry these days. It’s just not because of the changing weather conditions. I guess, it needs extra care now. I thought to give this moisturizing cream a try. Let’s get into the review.
Price: INR 75 for 50ml
Shelf Life: 3 years
My Experience with Himalaya Herbals Winter Defense Moisturizing Cream:
Himalaya Winter Defense Moisturizing Cream comes in a green and white plastic tub pack. The tub pack doesn’t come with any outer carton box. The ingredients list can be found on bottom of the tub by peeling-off the sticker. It claims to consist of three key ingredients – Jojoba oil, Wheat germ and Almond oil. This cream comes with white inner lid which sits on the mouth of tube. Thus, the cream doesn’t create mess on the inner side of the lid .The tub pack looks big but, the quantity is less. It will last for a month or less, if used on a daily basis.
The cream is white in colour and has a thick consistency. The fragrance is very mild and vanishes, once the cream is absorbed into the skin. It reminds me of some cold cream. As it is meant for dry to extra dry skin, I thought it would be sticky and will leave an oily sheen on my face, but it didn’t. Once massaged over face and neck, it just gets absorbed easily. There was no white cast on my face. It does not clog my pores and feels so light on my skin. My skin felt soft and well moisturised. The soft feeling stayed for good 8-10 hours. It kept my skin oil-free. It can definitely be used as a base for makeup for dry skin. As winter is approaching, my skin is showing signs of extreme dryness. My usual moisturiser is not enough these days. I think I have found a perfect solution for this winter. I loved its fragrance and good staying power. It can also be used as a night cream.
It is meant for dry to extra dry skin type so, definitely not suitable for oily skin. It is a decent moisturizing cream but, there is no SPF provided. Also, it does not help much in clearing the complexion but, moisturises the skin really well.
