Body Skin Type: Normal to Dry
I have recently purchased three jars of body butter from Himalaya. I found them at my local market and I quickly picked them up without any second thoughts. These are specially formulated for pregnant women but are just like the normal body butter that can be used by everyone. Today I am talking about Himalaya Lavender Soothing Body Butter. Let’s get into the review.
Price: INR 320 for 200ml
My Experience with Himalaya Lavender Soothing Body Butter:
The body butter comes in various sizes and all of them come in a round plastic jar with a green cap. Inside the jar, a tray covers the cream nicely. I couldn’t find the smaller size and so I have the 200 ml jar. I am not a fan of such jar packaging as I don’t find it hygienic. But, you get ample butter for the price you pay. Even though this is the lavender variant it does not really smell like lavender. Yes, it smells fresh and nice but not like lavender. The scent isn’t really strong yet stays on the skin for long.
The butter has a thick creamy texture that glides smoothly on the skin. It feels quite heavy on the skin too. I just need a coin size amount for my body and the butter blends easily on my skin. It provides instant moisturization and feels soothing on the skin. It makes my skin soft and smooth and hides all signs of dryness. It feels a little greasy during the summers, hence is a great option for super dry skin. I prefer to apply this during the night as my skin tends to get a little sweaty during the day. I wake up to soft, nourished skin if I use this butter at night.
This is a rich moisturiser that makes skin soft and provides a good amount of hydration. It also makes skin healthy and heals dryness with ease. Regular use of this butter may change your skin texture for better. Also, the skin remains soft for long. The staying power is around 12 hours and I do not need to reapply this. Overall, I am happy with this product. Even though this product is mainly meant for mums, everyone can use it. It is a rich body butter that provides moisturisation.
