Hip Hop Salt and Sugar Face Scrub Review

Hello lovely ladies,

I purchased loads of scrubs last week, but most of them made my skin dry. My skin is slowly becoming dry and that denotes the arrival of breezy winters. I got this scrub some months back because the “salt and sugar” combination tempted me a lot. I mean, aren’t these the best natural exfoliators? But technically, it is not possible for me to get some sugar and salt and scrub my skin, hence I got this alternative to try.  Check out whether this traditional formula worked for my combination skin that is dry currently.

Hip Hop Salt and Sugar Face Scrub

Price:
Rs. 125 for 100 gm.

Product Description:
In ancient times, “Salt and Sugar” were the only and most effective source of exfoliation, being simple, gentle and purest form of scrubbing. Hip Hop has combined traditional and modern science and produced a ‘Salt and Sugar Face Scrub with Micellar Water.” It exfoliates and moisturizes the skin. It is very effective with balanced pH for unclogging pores, speedy turnover of skin cells, controlling sebum and smoothing skin gently.  It also improves skin texture by reducing dry, rough skin, and removing layers of excess dead skin. The exfoliating factor leaves the skin rejuvenated, vivacious, soft, healthy and glowing. Suitable for all types of skin.

Ingredients:

Hip Hop Salt and Sugar Face Scrub

My Experience with Hip Hop Salt and Sugar Face Scrub:

This scrub is my first skin care product from Hip Hop because till date, I had used only wax strips from them. The scrub comes in a white tube with navy blue fonts over it and some splashes of water here and there to resemble micellar water. The scrub comes at a nominal price and is great for your daily routine and also when you are on a budget.

The tube packaging does not have any flaws as the flip open cap opens and closes very well. Also, due to its medium size, it can be easily carried around. The face scrub comes as a creamy white thick paste. Initially when I opened this, I was like “dude, where are the scrubby granules?” But when I started rubbing it over my face, I realized that it has big and harsh granules. The scrub has a very pleasant scent, somewhat like a Nivea tub or Pond’s cold cream.

This scrub is pretty harsh on my skin but does not give me any rashes or redness, but the coarse texture, not everyone would like. The creamy paste cleans my skin very well, removing excess oil and impurities from my skin. The salt and sugar bits help in unclogging the pores and in clearing up the gunk.\

The scrub bits actually look like salt and sugar crystals, in fact this scrub has a lot of natural ingredients which will do great for the skin. It removes the dull layer and my skin looks healthy and fresh. The texture seems to be improved after using it for a few days, as the rough layer of the skin has gone. It does not make my skin dry, but it might dry out the very dry skin. Also, it does not add any moisture as claimed and I have to follow up with a moisturiser. It is a very nice and decent scrub that cleans the skin well, but will not do anything great for the skin. So, if you are expecting it to solve your skin concerns, then you better look out for something else!
