My Experience with Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream:

Holika Holika BB cream comes housed in a frosted thick glass bottle, it’s quite heavy which makes it really difficult to travel with, but still it’s cute, I don’t mind even it’s heavy. The cap is a cyan-coloured, twist-up top with a spatula through which the BB cream is taken out. The shade name is not mentioned anywhere on the bottle which is quite weird. The brand name and product name are printed on the top of the cap. Overall, the packaging is cute.

Just imagine the coverage of a sheer to medium coverage foundation and protection of a physical SPF, isn’t it just like a dream! No it’s not, Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB cream got you covered! This BB cream gives enough coverage which I get from my normal, regular, day-to-day foundation and it gives me protection of a physical sunscreen. Yes, I have mentioned physical SPF because titanium dioxide doesn’t sink into the skin and gives you more protection than a regular sunscreen from the harmful rays of sun.

When I first applied it, I didn’t like it at all, but after using it several times, in several different methods, I absolutely love it. When I first applied this BB cream, I felt it was just sitting on top of my skin and it felt heavy and tacky on the skin, but after using it with different combinations, I found it works with nothing underneath it. I just apply a moisturizer which totally sinks into the skin without leaving any residue behind. Then, using my fingers, I blend this BB cream into my skin and just to get a more blended and even-toned look, I use a Beauty Blender and voila – it looks so good.

People call it a matte finish cream, but on my dry skin, it feels dewy and natural. It does offer sheer to medium coverage. It will cover redness, make your skin look even, but it’s not going to hide blemishes or scars – so basically, this is perfect for people with perfect skin.

This BB cream offers spf of 20 PA ++. This BB cream is blendable and buildable but if you keep on layering, it will definitely look cakey. After application, it feels very lightweight and comfortable on my skin. It also has a cooling effect since it is mostly made up of water.

Holika Holika BB cream has a unique texture, it actually feels like jelly, it’s a little jiggly like jelly 😛 Shade #2 is perfect for people with fair to medium skin tones with yellow undertones . Even on my skin tone, it adds a little brightening effect. Unfortunately, there is no shade for deeper and dusky skin tones, or for people with skin tone just a bit darker than me. It has a very fresh, fruity scent which fades away after a while after application.

As I have mentioned above, the lasting power is just incredible, it lasted for 12 hours on me and it don’t break or separate, but it did look a little oily at the end of the day which makes me think it wouldn’t work for oily skin people. It also didn’t break me out or cause any redness, which I was sure of since physical SPFs never irritates skin.
