I picked up a big pack of this cleansing foam from the brand Holika Holika as it was on discount. Today’s review is all about Holika Holika Daily Fresh Olive Cleansing Foam. Read on to know more.

Product Description:
Foam is an effective tool for cleansing the skin, removes everyday dirt, traces of makeup. Gives the skin smoothness, softness and freshness, does not clog pores.

The product contains a fermented extract of olive, which has a rejuvenating effect, it can prevent the appearance of wrinkles and smooth the already existing ones. Contains a large number of antioxidants and vitamin E. This vitamin helps the body to better absorb vitamins A, D, K and prevent the fading of cells. Increases firmness and protective properties of the skin.

The common soapwort extract contains saponins, flavonglycosides. Has anti-inflammatory, antifungal and cleansing effect, improves the metabolism of the skin, helps to soften dry, prone to acne and irritated skin.

My Experience with Holika Holika Daily Fresh Olive Cleansing Foam:

The product comes in a white tube packaging with the picture of olives on the top. The packaging is very basic. It has a tamper seal and also an aluminium stopper at the nozzle to prevent any leakage. The tamper seal assures that it hasn’t been opened or used. There is information at the back of the tube. This is a 300 mL tube.

I kind of underestimated it when I was ordering and the tube is ginormous. I haven’t till date used this big tube for face wash. You can see the comparisons between the two. I wouldn’t usually take this for travelling with me. The cap closes with a click and there is no leakage. The big tube will really last you very long.

The cleansing foam is pearly white in color and has a soft foamy cream-like texture. It smells fresh but doesn’t smell anything like olives. However, the smell stays only until you rinse the product off your face so it doesn’t bother me much. The consistency is thick and you can be assured that it doesn’t flow away. When using the foam, you need to take the desired quantity and use a little water to generate the foam and then work it onto your face. The application is pretty easy.

The product lathers very well when it comes in contact with water. When you rinse it off, you can feel your skin to be squeaky clean. There is a sense of freshness and you can see that the skin has been thoroughly cleansed. When I use a toner afterwards I hardly notice anything on the cotton pad. The product completely gets rid of any impurities or makeup from the skin. I have used it to remove makeup too and it works well.

The product can also be used if you want to shave off the peach fuzz from your face. Since it doesn’t lather until it comes in contact with water, I can work it on my upper lips and then shave off using a facial razor. I haven’t had any issues with it in this aspect. The product also controls oil for few hours. I noticed that the skin also becomes soft and smooth and this effect lasts quite some time.

There is also a noticeable radiance on the face but it is only short lived. The product is made for irritated or acne prone skin. Thus, there is no chance of any breakouts. But, I have seen that it does dry out the pimples. I had a pimple recently and luckily it dried and withered within 2 days while usually it takes 3-4 days for me to get rid of them. It doesn’t clog the pores and you can be free from any blackheads or whiteheads during the usage.

The only negative about this product is the claim of moisturizing. While it doesn’t dry out the skin, I noticed that you need a moisturizer post washing your face. You cannot just go bare face after a wash. Overall, I absolutely love this cleansing foam. This will take ages for me to finish but I want to try all of them from this range.
