10 Home Remedies for Dark Skin Patches

Dark Skin patches are quite common on our body. You can suffer from dark skin patches at different parts of your body. They look quite ugly and unpresentable and depending on the body part, it can look untidy also. Thus, here are some of the easy peasy home remedies to treat dark skin patches on your skin.

1. Vitamin E Oil

We all know that vitamin E is extremely beneficial for your skin. They are extremely moisturizing rather sticky in nature. Thus, make sure that you use only a very little quantity on your body. A single tablet is more than enough to cover the entire face. If you start using vitamin E oil regularly on your dark skin area, then you will notice that within one month of it’s usage, the skin will be back to it’s original colour.

2. Milk

Milk is rich in lactic acid and it helps immensely in treating skin pigmentation. Thus, you can apply raw milk on the darkened area and within some time, you can see that the dark area will be back to it’s normal colour. But remember, you must apply raw milk and not boiled milk, otherwise it will not yield any benefits.

3. Orange

Orange juice has bleaching properties and can be used to lighten the skin tone with time. Take two tablespoon of orange juice to a bowl and add a pinch of turmeric to it. Now, apply this mixture on the darkened area and within some days, you will be able to see that your skin is back to normal.

4. Sun Exposure

Sometimes, dark skin patches can be due to sun exposure. Thus, use sunscreen regularly while stepping outdoors. And, if you have really bad and quite long dark skin patch, then start using sunscreen indoor also. Try to use sunscreen with PA+++ protection with UVA and UVB certification.

5. Papaya

Papaya contains an enzyme Papain, which helps to exfoliate the skin. It contains larger quantity of vitamin C and E, which prevents the discoloration of skin. You can use papaya for your skin in multiple ways. You can make a papaya paste or you can just cut the fruit and apply it on the affected areas of your body.

6. Folic Acid

Sometimes, deficiency of iron content or folic acid in your body can cause skin to get darkened. Thus, you must double check your diet and eat food items which are rich in iron content. Include green leafy vegetables, citrus fruits, beans and other items in your body.

7. Sour Cream

How about taking some quantity of sour milk and combining it with a pinch of turmeric. You can apply this paste at the darkened areas of your body and thus, see the difference by yourself in a week or so.

8. Chickpeas

Chickpeas can be used to remove dead skin cells from your skin and they further help in decluttering your face. You just need to prepare some fresh chickpea powder. Add little amount of water to it and apply this paste on the darkened area of your body.

9. Oatmeal

Oatmeal is a fabulous scrubbing product, which scrubs and moisturizes the skin at the same time. Make an oatmeal paste and apply it on your skin. Let it air dry completely. Then, wash it off with water. You can try this paste once in every week and you will see that your dark patches will get reduced in due course of time.

10. Castor Oil

Castor oil is extremely effective to treat dark patches on the skin. It is extremely sticky, but it is 100% safe to be used. You can directly apply the castor oil with a cotton ball on the darken area and then, within 10-12 days, you can see the difference by yourself.
