8 Homemade Blackhead Removal Scrubs

Blackheads are generally caused due to an accumulation of oil, dead skin cells or clogged pores on the skin. Blackheads can appear anywhere on the face including nose and cheek area. Well, one easy way to remove blackheads at home is using scrubs. Using scrubs can help to exfoliate the skin, thus, removing dead skin cells, clogged pores and also promote glowing skin. So, here we mention some homemade blackhead removal scrubs.

Sugar is an excellent exfoliating agent which clears the clogged pores on the skin and also helps in removing dead skin cells. Coconut contains anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties which keep your skin soothe and supple. In order to make the scrub, take two spoons of sugar and add some coconut oil to it. Mix together and apply the scrub on the face. Scrub for some time and wash off with cold water.

2. Raw honey scrub:

Honey contains humectants which not only hydrates your skin but also helps to remove the blackheads and whiteheads on the skin. It is nourishing and exfoliating on the skin, thus, promoting healthy skin. Take some raw honey and add one spoon of sugar and lemon juice to it. Mix together and scrub your face. Wash off with cold water later.

3. Salt and lemon scrub:

Salt helps to remove blackheads on the skin easily, while lemon contains a high amount of Vitamin C which helps in skin lightening. Using salt and lemon scrub can not only exfoliate the skin but also help to deal with clogged pores and oil accumulation on the skin. Mix salt and lemon in equal quantities and massage on to the skin. Wash off with cold water.

4. Brown sugar and cucumber scrub:

Brown sugar is an excellent exfoliator which helps to exfoliate your skin deeply, thus, treating whiteheads and blackheads on the face. In order to make this scrub at home, take a half cup of brown sugar and add 4-5 spoons of cucumber paste to it. Also, you can add some avocado paste to it. Mix properly and apply on the face. Wash off with lukewarm water after some time.

5. Cranberry sugar scrub:

Cranberry contains essential antioxidants and properties which deeply exfoliates the skin. It not only helps to remove blackheads from the face but also promotes gorgeous and glowing skin. Take a half cup of sugar and add cranberry puree to it. If needed, add 1-2 drops of lavender essential oil for a soothing effect. Mix together and scrub in circular motion. Rinse off with normal water.

6. Oatmeal and yogurt scrub:

Oatmeal helps to absorb excess oil accumulated on the face, thus, preventing blackheads. Yogurt contains pro-biotic enzymes which deeply nourishes and hydrates the skin. Orange peel contains Vitamin C which kills the germs that clog the pores. Take one spoon of oatmeal and add some yogurt to it. Add one spoon of orange peel powder to it. Mix together and massage your face with this. Wash off with cold water.

7. Masoor dal and milk scrub:

Masoor dal and milk scrub, both are extremely good for people with sensitive skin. Masoor dal, also known as red lentils, can help to prevent the formation of blackheads and whiteheads on the face. Milk helps to nourish, soothe and hydrate your skin deeply. Soak masoor dal in water for a few hours and grind them to make a paste. Add some milk and apply on the face. Wash off with cold water later.

8. Clarifying salt scrub:

Pineapple contains Vitamin C which can help to prevent clogging of pores on the skin. Olive oil contains antioxidant properties which can keep your skin healthy and supple. Sea salt deeply exfoliates the skin, sloughs off the dead skin cell and removes the blackheads. Take half cup of sea salt and add some pineapple juice and olive oil to it. Mix together and use this scrub on regular basis.
