  • One Tablespoon of sugar.

This is a very simple and cool lip butter that you will love to use it. Sugar, Honey and butter helps in hydrating and exfoliating the lips. It keeps the lips smooth and from drying out. Almond is great for dry and chapped lips. With this, the addition of cocoa gives a good smell and color to the lip butter and adds shine too.

  1. I love how it turned out…but wont the sugar be in the same form?we are not melting it right?I just feel that it might get lil uneasy to wear as a lip balm…but will be helpful in exfoliating tho..nice DYI Divya *clap*

      1. No yaar its not uneasy. As you said i added it for exfoliation factor. If you want you can reduce the quantity of sugar. And when you are going out you can remove the sugar particles. Do give it a try 🙂

Like Sohini said powdered sugar is also a good option 🙂

    1. No anuja it does not. As soon as it melts we are adding the sugar and honey so it gets mixed well and when set its texture is smooth and you don’t feel the stickiness. 🙂

  2. Wow yaa this one is really nice *pompom* *pompom* this looks exactly like the ones we get in shops *clap* *clap* amazing diy *happy dance* *happy dance* *woot*

i have a query … what is almond meal .. and do u put crushed or whole sugar … and what would be the shellife if this lip balm..?

    1. *thankyou* aashka… Pls try it..

When you grind the almond it will become a powder first thats what is almond meal.. I have used whole sugar. You can use it as whole or crushed or totally avoid it.. Anyways it will be fine… You can safely use for 6 months. Its really a simple process so we can do fresh and use in small quantities 🙂
