3 Homemade Hot Oil Treatments For All Hair Issues

Hi people!

Keeping hair long, strong and healthy is a very big task and with all the products available in the market, all we get is confusion. Which one is better, how to decide! But one thing has not changed from the starting of time : natural homemade remedies and one of the best remedy is hot oil treatment. There are many options available in the market to replace the old hair oiling, but till date it is the best thing you can do for your hair (you will be thanking yourself later, trust me). Oiling gives the required vitamins to the hair without any chemicals and also it gives hair a great shine (bonus). Essential oils are something that are in trend these days for the benefits that they offer. I will be listing some treatments tried by myself. So let us begin with the different types of hot oil treatments you can try this weekend.

Homemade Hot Oil

1. Coconut, Almond and Tea Tree/Rosemary/Eucalyptus Essential Oil

eucalyptus oil

Proportion:
3-4 tablespoon of coconut oil
2-3 tablespoon of almond oil
4-5 drops of tea tree/rosemary/eucalyptus essential drop
You can increase the quantity proportionally depending upon the length of your hair

Procedure:
Heat 3 tsp coconut oil and 2 tsp almond oil in microwave or on gas, whatever option is available with you, for 2-3 minutes to a temperature that is warm enough and you can tolerate that on your scalp. After that take 4-5 drops of any of the essential oil (my personal favourite is tea tree) and mix. Apply it to your scalp by massaging your roots with it while bending your neck forward with all your hair in front (for easy application). Leave your hair for an hour or overnight whichever is convenient for you. Shampoo afterwards with a herbal shampoo followed by conditioning.

Almond oil is a great source of vitamin E and it promotes hair growth as well as makes the hair strong and shiny while tea tree oil keeps dandruff away and cleanses your scalp and prevents lice naturally. On the other hand when massaged into the scalp, coconut oil helps to improve blood circulation, supporting hair growth. It can actually help grow hair, longer and thicker. The essential nutrients including the lauric acid, penetrates the hair shaft improving the overall health of the hair.

2. Coconut and Rosemary Essential Oil with Vitamin E Oil

Proportion:
3-4 tablespoon of coconut oil
4-5 drops of rosemary essential oil
4-5 drops of vitamin e oil or 1-2 vitamin e capsule

Procedure:
Heat the coconut oil to a temperature you can tolerate on your scalp and is warm enough. Add 4-5 drops of rosemary essential oil and 1 or 2 capsule of vitamin oil to it (no. of capsules to add depends upon you totally). Mix this mixture well and apply it before it cools down by massaging it into your scalp. You can keep it on for an hour or overnight as you like and wash with a herbal shampoo afterwards.

Vitamin E has antioxidant properties that help repair damaged hair follicles and prevent tissue corrosion, which in turn encourages healthy hair growth. It also deeply conditions the hair from root to shaft to make it healthier and shinier, and even prevents premature greying. Vitamin E oil increases blood circulation and boosts oxygen supply to the scalp.

Regular use of rosemary oil helps to stimulate follicles, making hair grow longer and stronger. It is also believed that rosemary oil slows down premature hair loss and greying of the hair. Rosemary essential oil is also beneficial for dry and flaky scalps.

3. Bhringraj and Eucalyptus/Rosemary Essential Oil

Proportion:
4-5 tablespoon bhringraj oil
4-5 drops of eucalyptus essential oil

Procedure:
Mix the oils in given proportion and apply to scalp. The quantity can be increased or decreased according to hair length.

Bhringraj oil prevents hair fall, premature greying, strengthens the roots, conditions hair, prevents split ends, stimulates hair growth and prevents baldness and alopecia. The oil prevents scalp infections like dandruff and gives you irritation free scalp. Massaging your hair with bhringraj oil gives relief from headaches and migraine. Regular use of this oil also makes your hair stronger and shinier. The oil has cooling properties on the mind and body, which helps relieve stress and stress-related hair-fall.

Eucalyptus oil has many antifungal properties that can help ward off infection, restrain residue buildup and clogging of pores on the head. It has many chemicals that promote blood vessel constriction and cleansing. This promotes follicle stimulation which promotes hair development. Eucalyptus oil improves shine, thickness, and overall health of hair. It also gives relief from an itchy scalp and relieves stress.

At the end I would say one thing i.e. don’t overdo any of the treatments as there is a saying excess of anything is bad. Keep loving and pampering yourself but in moderation.
