Hello Ladies,

This is my first DIY post. This is a DIY skin brightening face scrub.

Here is What You Will Need:

Kiwi Face Scrub 2

  • 1 ripe kiwi.
  • 2-3 tbsp of powdered oats (just dry and blend the oats till you get a powder, much easier to use than whole oats).
  • 1-2 tbsp natural unflavored yougurt.
  • 2 tbsp honey.

Method:

Blend all the ingredients together till you get a paste. If its runny in consistency, add more oats.

Kiwi Face Scrub 3

Apply in circular motion all over face for 5-10 minutes.

Kiwi Face Scrub 4

Wash off with water. Get bright moisturized skin instantly.  You won’t even need a moisturizer after this.

Kiwi Face Scrub 5

The seeds of kiwi and oats are excellent exfoliants. Vitamin C in Kiwi brightens skin. Yogurt and honey are anti-inflammatory which balances out the high content of vitamin C, hence making this suitable for even sensitive skin.

Benefits of the ingredients on the skin:

Kiwi is rich in nutrients and antioxidants including Vitamin C which repairs damaged skin due to acne, the sun, and from a variety of environmental reasons. Vitamin C will also help you to look younger since it aids in collagen production and helps tighten the skin. Kiwi will help your skin feel refreshed and regenerated as well.  Honey is a wonderful antioxidant proven to help reduce impurities from the skin and help battle mild acne. It also helps restore skin’s texture due to its anti-microbial properties, and will help repair skin damage from the sun and daily environments.  Plain yogurt is great for the skin because it will leave your skin glowing due to the low amount of acidity in it, which will restore your natural pH balance. It is also great for adding hydration to the skin and is wonderful for soothing sunburns and irritated skin. If your skin is inflamed and red from acne, yogurt will ease the pain and redness. It’s a miracle drink for your skin. Make sure you don’t use a reduced-fat or non-fat yogurt because the more fat in the yogurt, the more it benefits your skin.

Oatmeal is suitable for all skin types and even for the most sensitive skin because of its anti- inflammatory properties. Oatmeal on face soothes irritation and treat inflammation.
