Homemade Red Sandalwood Face Pack To Remove Tan
Showing you a face pack that works on clearing tan effectively and with regular use helps in fading away acne scars and blemishes. Red sandalwood or “raktachandanam” is widely used in ayurvedic and natural beauty treatments to remove acne scars and to lighten skin blemishes. Tomato as we all know lightens skin and removes tan effectively and lemon is loaded with vitamin C and tan removal properties. Together, they are a potent treatment for scars and stubborn tan.
You can read benefits of red sandalwood powder here. As opposed to the regular sandalwood powder, which is hard to find, “raktachandan” is widely available and marketed in small packets across the country. You can lay your hands on small barks of the tree if you look around ayurvedic stores.
Let’s check out how to make this face pack:
Ingredients Needed:
1. Half a teaspoon of red sandalwood powder (I got mine from Kerala).
2. Juice of half a tomato.
3. One good squeeze of lemon.
How To Make:
Take half a tablespoon of red sandalwood powder in a bowl and squeeze in the juice of half a tomato.
Mix well and then squeeze in a bit of lemon.
Mix everything well and keep it aside for a few minutes.
Apply on the face and neck evenly and wash it off after 20 minutes. Using this face pack regularly clears off tan and works on scars to lighten them.
