Today, will show you a face pack that not only works on acne, it also brings about a glow and radiance to the skin and has skin lightening properties too. Both sandalwood and turmeric (kasturi manjal) are potent antimicrobial agents and both are known to remove tan and bring radiance to the face. Sandalwood and turmeric powder combination works against zits and blemishes as well. So, its a face pack for all skin types and conditions – those who want to get rid of tan, zits, blemishes, and want to bring about a glow to their face. Regarding honey, we all know abouts its innumerable benefits. If you cannot lay your hands on Kasturi manjal or ambi haldi, you can use your regular cosmetic turmeric powder (not the cooking one). Kasturi manjal does not leave a yellow stain like other variants. Try this at home 😛

- 1 tablespoon sandalwood powder.
- 1/2 tablespoon turmeric (ambi haldi/kasturi manjal).
- 2 to 3 tablespoons of honey.
Method:
Take one tablespoon of sandalwood powder in a bowl.
Add half a tablespoon of Kasturi manjal to the bowl.
To this powder, pour in 2 to 3 tablespoons of honey and mix well.
You will get a nice, aromatic, fragrant, viscous paste that you can apply to the face, neck, as well as the entire body.
Leave it on for 20 minutes and wash off and note the radiance.

Hi Jomol,
My skin pretty much reacts to everything with acne… It tolerates only Kasturi manjal and Sandalwood powder. I used to use this pack until few yrs back with good results.. But never added Honey to it..i used to add Neem paste to it with rose water.. Now ill try this with honey…
Thanks for reminding me of this.
nice face pack Jomol.. but getting hands on Kasturi manjal is a bit difficult in Pune, are you aware of any place here, where i can get it??
Hi Jomol! I have a question about sandalwood. What kind should we buy? I had read that red sandalwood was great for skin, but I tried a mask of red sandalwood and water and it left my face all red! (I have really fair skin). I had to scrub really hard with soap to remove the red from my skin. Did I do something wrong? Could the powder have gone bad, or is it not the right kind? Thank you so much for your advice!
