Over the next couple of days I will bring you an in-depth review of each one of the pallet along with a corresponding eye look of each. But for now enjoy the eye fest.

First Impressions of Hourglass Modernist Eyeshadow Palette, Monochrome and Color Field:

I am loving these palettes so far. Apart from being an absolute beauty to look at the shadows are pretty pigmented. The darker shades are definitely more pigmented than the lighter one (which need 2-3 layers to build up intensity) hence for now I am loving the Color Field Palette more than the other as it contains more of the darker shades.

The shadows are smooth and soft and they do kick up some powder. They are definitely very similar in texture and feel to the Lorac shadows but with my Lorac shadows even the lighter shades pack a punch of color which is a quality lacking with the Hourglass palette. The pigmentation and feel of the darker shades are almost same to the Lorac shadows. I do think I will have better luck using the shadows wet which I will try, test and let you know in the upcoming in depth review.

The dark shades do kick up powder when brush is put in the pan and they will generate some fall out but nothing too major.

Overall These are my initial thoughts on the palette. Stay tuned for more to come.

    1. I agree… Such a unique concept of making the shadows merge like a sand dune instead of the traditional pans.. I almost did not want to use it, it is so gorgeous..!!

    1. I agree.. These just released a few days ago at Sephora exclusively for VIB rouge members hence I was able to get them early.. But they will soon be available to all..
