  5. Hi Sanjeev, I already posted my answer on facebook so wont repeat here πŸ™‚ Might sound very silly but I love all the cat pics that you put up on facebook *pompom* *pompom* I love cats *happydance* *happydance*

  6. OMG I just commented on fb and copying that here:
I stumbled across IMBB on a slow day at work when most friends were on vacation.. And I fell in love with it. I love the way Rati replies to each and every single comment, not just in the initial days but even after the blog has grown so huge. It makes readers feel like coming back again n again. Also I used to love it that the reviews are written by girls just like me: real, not a Paris runway model. I enjoy every single OOTD now and all the reviews. One tab always has IMBB now. I never got addicted to fb but to IMBB πŸ˜€

  7. I came across when searching product reviews and kept coming back πŸ™‚ as I found the reviews to be honest and unbiased and loved that it had reviews of some reputed brands that are not yet easily available in the Indian market *haan ji*

  8. I have to add when πŸ˜› i was in office in Pune in march 2010, surfing something beauty πŸ˜› and stopped here and subscribed ( i am so glad I did) I recd and auto mail inviting me to write and i was like *shock* *shock* yes yes yes and rest is history *happy dance* *happy dance* *happy dance*

      1. Me too… *happy dance* I was looking for the review of Lakme Perfect Radiance Lotion in early 2010…that is when I stumbled upon IMBB…since then I always refer to IMBB whenever I have to know about a product….love IMBB….. *pompom* it’s a part of my daily routine….part of life actually… *puchhi*

  9. A year back I bought a dhoti pant but was not sure how to style it, while searching for that I came to IMBB, saw how Rati has styled it. Liked it and after that went through all her styles in the lookbook. *haan ji*

And then came my sister’s wedding during that time I was looking for some lipstick review and again came to IMBB, I saw Rati’s pic and realized this is the same site I saw styling ideas from, quickly book marked the page and after that there was no looking back *pompom* *pompom*

  10. I still remember the month and year i came to IMBB, it was Sep 2010 πŸ™‚ when i searched review for Himalaya Neem face wash πŸ˜› till then never failed to check IMBB daily πŸ™‚ Reader for 3 years πŸ˜€
I like the way the website is maintained.. its fast, neat, clear pictures, navigation between post is easier in IMBB and the most important honest reviews from Rati, Jomol..

  11. When I was preparing for my marriage last year I searched for many cosmetics reviews and for maximum I found this blog providing me the exact information I wanted.

Believe me or not my 99% shopping of marriage cosmetics and personal care is done by help of this blog. As I got so addicted since then I cant think of giving it up.

Though i am mostly a silent reader but i must say this blog has brought a lot of change in my life obviously positive. I feel so more confident while going out and in home too. (May be sometime I will write a mail to TEAM IMBB what it really means to me πŸ™‚ )

Thanks IMBB for coming in our life.

  12. I was so happy to read the comments *pompom* *pompom* *pompom* *pompom* I discovered IMBB through Google search *happy dance* *happy dance* *happy dance*

    1. Me too jomol di..I was looking for makeup products cz I wanted to start wd my makeup collection n reached here.. I got so addicted that I read all the reviews startin from first page n as u say, rest is history. I have been hooked here since last 2 years *shy* *happy dance* I never thought I cud write a review or could do a lip swatch or eotd before imbb..

  13. I had severe breakout and was searching for solutions to control acne and came across IMBB. I tried the DIY ‘s but since it is harmonal the suggestion was to go to a doc in IMBB so I gathered the courage to go to doc because of IMBB *shy*
Before IMBB I hardly cared about skin care and acne made it worse , thanks to IMBB, now i have a skin care regime *haan ji*

Never tried cosmetic in my life, now I experiment in small way!! Earlier cosmetic section in mall was just to check nail polish now I check glosses( still not trying lipstick) , eyeliners etc. Agree now I spend lot on these things *hihi* *hihi*

I am still learning the ABC’s .. but now I am smart enough to not to buy whatever SA advice’s..Once I told one of the person , look the reviews are not good in IMBB dont push it rofl
I can go on.will stop here *shy*

  14. I chanced upon this website in 2010 (during my maternity leave :P) when I was searching for Indian sites which did skin care, hair care and cosmetic product reviews. I was sick and tired of reading only foreign (mostly US centric) sites which mostly reviewed stuff either not available in India or not suitable for our kind of skin. Since then there’s been no looking back. I am glad that whenever I need to buy something, I have IMBB to rely on. I know the lip and eye swatches will be helpful to me because my skin tone matches a lot of ladies who write on this blog. And your DIY posts simply rock! Thank you IMBB and may you grow everyday! *puchhi*

  15. I was to attend an interview for a well known skincare brand..and before going for interview i was to do a small research and send a report… I wasn’t from skin care industry and a simple kajal and lip gloss girl … came across this website .. did homework …and landed the job … helped a lot during training days as well .. as most products are reviewed here..now its almost a year .. not a day goes without checking articles .. not a single product purchased without review and have become quiet a fashionista from girl next door .. thanks to OOTD … in love the way rati carries herself…

  16. almost 2 yrs back when i had no idea about makeup stuffs, was searching about nivea lip balm i came across imbb. Through imbb this lip balm gal came to know about all makeup stuffs rofl
IMBB’s loads of makeup reviews made me 2 stick On this page n made this page… I Don think in any other blog could post dese many reviews. *powder*

  17. I met this beautiful website back the in 2011 while finding a review of a product i don’t rally remember name … *hihi* and then i started to visit the blog everyday to read the review before i shop.. *happy dance* and then i noticed pretty ladies posing and flaunting their outfits, saw diys and what not… IMBB had everything *happydance* *happydance* *happydance* Saw Rati di’s ootds and always use to praise each and every stuff of her *hifive* later then i came to know that she was the owner..and then after 2 years when i finally learnt a lot aand thought was sompetent enough to write… i started it and IMBB is a major part of my life now… the sweet one liner talks is what i love.. my homepage is IMBB lol rofl I love you IMBB and love u all the writers and Rati di, Sanjeevji, Jomol di, Neha di to get IMBB where it is today… you rock *puchhi* *puchhi* *puchhi* *happy dance*

  18. I came across IMBB rather randomly – I was fresh out of my post grad, bored and jobless (actually looking for a job :P) and surfing the net.

I’ve always been part of public forums, but most of them were based abroad – I made many friends from there but none were Indian. I was checking out a group for makeup lovers on FB and asked about any Indian websites and a girl just sent me the link to this page. I was intrigued, I visited, I started writing and commenting and needless to say, I was hooked! *jai ho* *jai ho* *jai ho* *jai ho* *jai ho* I’ve had the chance to talk to and get to know quite a few people here, especially Rati, both online and offline and through the comments section I’ve met Nidhi, and I love talking to Jomo, Raunak and others too. I make it a point to check IMBB before I buy anything makeup related, and that’s saved me a lot of trouble plus made shopping fun πŸ˜› πŸ˜› πŸ˜› and I LOVE fashion so I moved on to follow Faux Pas as well :)))) I’m very glad and proud to be a writer for IMBB though I’ve vanished of late πŸ˜› πŸ˜› and CONGRATS Rati and Sanjeev and Jomo fr making it to the top 100 websites in India! *puchhi* *puchhi*

      1. Nandini….I really don’t mind the top 100 websites…..Sanjeevji….no correction *happy dance* *happy dance* *happy dance* *happy dance*

          1. Dear Rati & Sanjeev, you people are our virtual pals. I am reading your posts since 2010.

Discover this site while searching Revlon products review.

No doubt you people are doing best in all terms but β€œThe real beauty of this blog is that you people especially both of you answer each comment which acts as string to hold us together”.

Every post looks like a garland of various views held together with your personal replies.

I just remember when I was searching for the first post of Rati on Faux Pass and posted my view she just replied which I was not expecting as the post is very old. Such a humble person….

  20. I like many of you here, came across IMBB while searching for a product review and I just stayed on for past 1.6 years. Now, I go through IMBB before buying a product and thanks to Rati I am a Zara regular. I am and always was confident about my traditional looks and could easily put two and two together but I used to browse through Zara but never could wrap my mind around mixing and matching to make it my own. Now, thanks to Rati and many others, my style has evolved ..

  21. Came across this website through Google Search… two years ago.. was hooked to this site for the reviews, compilation and absolutely practical approach is product analysis….

We will not get information in such precise manner even if we go around all malls and cosmetics counters…

We also get to know about new product launches with a simple click of mouse!!!

The language you use for product analysis is your USP… Keep it up *thankyou*

  28. Hi!!

I’m from Mexico. I was searching in the web for makeup reviews and I find you. I’m glad that I did because you have so much diversity in posts and most of you are the same skin type and tone like me(and that was the main reason that I stay). Everyday when I arrive at office, I open my explorer and click in your page.

    My best wishes for you,

    Karina

  29. I stumbled upon IMBB in the summer of 2011, i was hooked to it for days…and honestly i got inspiration from here to start my own blog. I specially love Rati’s post and look forward to them. *pigtail* *pigtail*

  30. I too came across when hunting for a product review but a big big reason why I stayed on was the whole positive vibe I received on this site. Everyone is so appreciative and encouraging. Fee;s wonderful to be here. I read fantastic honest reviews. It isn’t as if every product review is just about praising the product. There are very honest ones where ppl don’t like a product and give us that feedback. That just made me realize that this was one genuine site. To add to that I got some amazing tips when I needed help which helped me tons (and continues to do so).

And lastly I have to say that Rati, Sanjeev, Jomol, Neha make this so very worth it by doing such a fabulous job. Hats off guys. you guys are fabulous!!!

    Thanks a bunch guys.

  37. I’m from Chennai.I was just a kajal girl even in my college days and never heard of sunscreens.i have a dark complexion and one day i saw my friend’s face and she suddenly became two to three shades lighter.when i asked her,she told me she used kashmeer moonshine cream.i bought it too and started using it(i dint know to check ingredients back then).i gradually lightened and then after 6 months ,the worst that could possibly happen hit my face.i was getting milia all over my face,my facial hair increasing,my skin getting thin and i could see veins under the skin.when i stopped the cream,i was hit by stubborn (i repeat, stubborn) acne.when i googled about it,i found that it contains steroids :'( i was helpless..my face was reacting the worst possible way and even visiting dermatologists did not seemed to help.i was just into a relationship and u could sense my agony.only then while googling,i came by this website which has helped me to gain my confidence back with reviews of awesome which i never knew existed!i cant say that my skin woes are over, but they are controllable now.thank you so much for making me face the world again πŸ™‚

  39. I had absolutely no knowledge about makeup and while searching the web for some info I came across IMBB(Maybe in 2011) and everything has changed ever since! I am so well informed now…..I have written reviews too *powder* . And Miss fit is a part of my life. love you imbb n Miss fit *happy dance* *clap*

  40. I got hooked to IMBB in 2012 when I saw Rati’s outfit posts. I loved what she wore on karvachauth. I understood the concept and started following IMBB daily. Now my day doesnt start until I catch a glimpse of you all :*

  41. Not so long ago..(2 years ago).. (Yes i am narrating this like a fairy tale).. I had recenty got married and took a break from skin care for 2 months (I know most ppl let out a huge sigh at this point!).. And lo and behold my skin broke out… In a desparate attempt I googled some tips and IMBB was the first hit. I read the first article and i was tempted to read more….

Then a couple of days later I stumbled on sme articles written by Sanjeev and Rati… They were so well written and honest.. It felt like I know them Personally… There was a sense of “apnapan” and without knowing I got hooked on..

Trust me (and I am not kidding).. Wen i come to office each day after opening my mail, I open IMBB and begin my day by reading ootds and reviews.. This has defi become a part of my life and I love it here… U guys are the best in business..

    Love U lotsss IMBB πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  42. I came across IMBB while searching for some review back in oct-nov 2011 and when I saw that this website has tons of reviews I started reading all the posts.. I remember earlier the pages used to be numbered below the post and I since I had decided to cover all the posts since the beginning I made it a point to read 3 pages a day.. like some sort of homework πŸ˜› and I used to do that regularly without fail. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

IMBB covers an array of subjects and that got me hooked…

My love for makeup, beauty and fashion grew to no bounds ever since I came across IMBB πŸ™‚

Thank you for this wonderful place Rati and Sanjeev… *thankyou* *thankyou*

  43. Like most of the readers, I landed up here searching for some cosmetics review.
For a makeup, fashion junkie like me, IMBB is a heaven. *haan ji* Apart from gaining immense knowledge about makeup and beauty, I feel IMBB is an adda for us girls where we can chat away our likes and dislikes unendingly. It’s a chic place! Above all, I immensely respect the friendly, warm personalities of the whole IMBB team which makes me so cosy and welcome here. Love you guys. You are very talented and hardworking…you sooo deserve the success *jai ho*

  44. My dad travels abroad a lot and every time, he used to bring me tonnes of makeup, clothes and jewelry. Well, my mom is a minimal makeup kinda person so most of the firangi makeup that my dad brought went in the form of gifts to my cousins and aunts. Still, I had to dump off literally loads of pretty expensive makeup because I had no idea what to do with it and they got expired in their unused state *duh* *duh*
In 2009, my dad brought me a eye lash curler from japan *headbang* He had no freaking idea about what he brought for me. Everything on the pack was in Japanese. He thought it is some useful mechanical hand-tool and gave it to me to do some ‘research’ on what it is and how it works *headbang* *headbang* Well thankfully I spotted an ‘eye’ somewhere in the instructions and searched the net for what kind of eye tool it can be.
This got me interested in finding about the rest of colorful makeup I had been mindlessly storing/dumping somewhere. Again searched the net, and found IMBB. It was in 2009 and IMBB was just 2 months old πŸ™‚ I quite related with Rati’s story about how she started with makeup and found a freshness in the concept. Started checking it out almost daily and in no time was hooked with the quality tutorials and reviews at IMBB. *happy dance*
Oh and I do miss the Rati-Radhika-Radiga-Nupur-Jomol gossip and spanking sessions. You guys gave a new perspective to the word ‘hilarious’. *hifive*
P.S. Now my mom blames my dad for indirectly converting a geek daughter to a makeup lover *hihi* *hihi*

  45. I stumbled upon IMBB through another Blog *shock* and then there is no looking back, its almost 4 months *smug* I know its tooooooooooo late but never mind…. i have almost read all the reviews as much as possible πŸ˜€ and made a small list… πŸ˜›
Team IMBB Rocks…….Rati OOTD, Sanjeevji Wit, Neha LOTD & Jomol Reviews……. not to forget ERA all reviews *jai ho* *jai ho* everything i loved

  46. It was sometime earlier in 2010 when i stumbled upon IMBB while looking for review about Lakme compact πŸ˜€ I was so new to makeup world by then though i have used eye shadows and lipsticks even before that in a worst manner (i used to steal my cousin sister’s lipsticks and use ;))
On the same day, i started getting indulged into all posts on IMBB and came across many new words (faces, MAC, colorbar – ya all of them sounded new to me).. I never waited until next day! Subscribed immediately for email updates πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

  47. I stumbled upon IMBB looking for a review of a face cream. The review in question turned out very different from what I had read in all other review sites. So I trusted the majority and ignored the IMBB review – I bought that cream and in just 2 days of its application, I began trusting IMBB more than any other reviews site! Yes, I was wrong in going with the majority and have never repeated my mistake again. I always check out a product’s reviews on IMBB before buying it now and am I a happy buyer now! πŸ™‚

it was 1 year back. i wanted to buy a good kajal..n i never buy anything without checking the reviews. so i googled , obviously, found the review on imbb. i loved how the reviews were by actual users n very genuine..n thus started my addiction with IMBB. after that i check imbb everyday..its been bookmarked! i never buy anything witout checking the reviews here.. i told my sister to do the same. if someone gives a good rating to a product , i buy it! i love how they give swatches.. after IMBB i came to know what OOTD, FOTD, etc means!! now i more informed n the sales people can never fool me :P..thank you IMBB

  50. hi,
i’m probably the last one to reply to this particular piece. I’ve come across your wonderful blog in 2009 , sitting home pregnant with my first son in the USA. i had actually searched in google for makeup tips for indian skin. i loved this blog from the very first day i went into it. i wanted to write so many times, but was scared. wy??? here’s why!!!

im 32, 5’4″ and 61 kilos. but i’m dark skinned. infact, ive always had trouble bcos of my dark skin and even though i’m educated abroad (did my MS in USA) and my parents are both doctors and ive had a good life….my complexion has been my biggest flaw. at work, i havent been taken seriously even though i held a top management position; my two love affairs didnt last even though we were very much in life and finally, the guy i married left me for his very fair ex wife.so now im single with 2 small boys below the age of 3.

this led to inferiority in me. psychologically,i feel like i’m not good looking only bcos of my dark skin. the many blogs dont help also cos nothing is for dark skinned south indian women. i will feel very obliged if you could include some tutorials with dark skinned women so i can follow.

you guys are doing a fantastic job. i love your blog and check it out many times a week.

    cheers !!!

  51. Came across IMBB while checking for some makeup product on google and i was so surprised that such a huge blog remained undiscovered by me for such a long time! ( i was hardly into makeup those days so never had i heard abt beauty bloggers at all! ) and wat keeps me coming back is the variety of posts that come up everyday. Checking IMBB is like checking facebook for me πŸ˜› even though most of the times its product reviews of costly brands (atleast for my level :P) i feel i can relate to atleast one of the post thats come up in a day. And although i work in central govt office ( where the dress code is usually of black n white era :D) and although i hail from a more tradition loving state (of Kerala ) i love (atleast seeing) the outfit posts πŸ™‚

    Keep going πŸ™‚
