Today, for the first time, I am sharing how I apply lipstick when I have loads of time and I need perfect application, I want it to last longer and may be modify the color a bit, or simply enjoy the process, rarely do I have that kind of time, but still.
You might have heard how compact powder can be layered on lipstick, or may be dab tissue on once coat of lipstick then apply another layer, for this one, I am sharing a method that will give your lips a clean base to start with and somehow it prettifies the deeper colors a lot. I am no good at tutorials but I really wanted to share this particular one for girls who have pigmented lips and for everyone who wants long lasting lipstick.
Nude lip liner
Fill your lips with creamy nude lip liner, totally, this is a neat base and covers pigmentation.I used Lakme beige pink.
Using a liquid concealer, apply it all over the lips, just give an even coat, do not layer it, yes it will be quite funny looking no doubt but this is a perfect canvas for any color and also lightens and mattifies the colors. I used Australis concealer my sis got me from Australia. You could use Maybelline dream mousse one too.
Load your brush with a lipstick, for the picture, I used B & d shade I will review soon, and I have also demonstrated a dakrer lipstick in Maybelline Candy uva and see how matte and lighter pink it goes, this is also a way to salvage a dark lipstick.
Apply the color evenly with this flat lip brush, I love the colorbar one.Get a coat covering the concealer properly.
This is optional. Outline your lips with another darker lip liner, I was in a hurry and used a bad one, but of course use a matching one 😛
Using Candy uva..
Using a moisture based bright pink lipstick…
And done, I love how matte the lippy looks, you can skip the pencil filling of step one if you wish but I like it.You could layer some compact powder too instead of concealer but try using a concealer once something you havent liked much for your skin but can use as a base for lips. 🙂
