If you have problem using pigmented blushes , follow this tip. Swirl your blush brush in blush powder, dab the brush at the back of your hand, and then apply the blush on your cheeks. The dabbing will help get rid of the excess blush and you would never overdo your blush application. If required, you can always go back and build up the colour of your blush using the same technique. 🙂
