Pedicure in easy steps

Step 1:

Pedicure Tools

Gather your supplies before you get down to start your pedicure. It will save you a lot of time plus, be moving around with wet feet is not something that you would want to do. The idea is to get relaxed, feel calm and rejuvenate your senses. Some of the most important things that you would need to pamper yourself are a clipper, filer, a small tub, towels, cuticle pusher, foot file, a foot scrub, body wash / baby shampoo, base coat, your favorite nail paint, top coat and a moisturizer.

Step 2:

Start your pedicure by removing any old nail paint that might have chipped and is remaining on your nails. After which, you should clip your nails to the length that you desire them to be at, shape and file them a bit and you are good to go. While clipping your foot nails, make sure that you cut straight and not unevenly as it leads to ingrown nails which can be irritating and quite painful.

Step 3:

Make a small rejuvenating bath for your feet. Take some lukewarm water to start with and add your body wash/baby shampoo and some salt to it. Get as creative as you can. You can also add some essential oils to make the bath aromatic which will give you the benefits of aromatherapy as well as the goodness of essential oils. After making your exotic foot bath, soak your feet in it for 15-20 minutes and put some good music on while you do so.

Step 4:

Foot Soak and Scrub

After soaking your feet in the bathtub, your feet should now feel more clean and dead skin cells should now be ready to be scrubbed and scraped off. Take out a good coarse scrub and start massaging your wet feet with it in upward down motion. Massage and scrub your feet for 4-5 minutes and then wash off with cold water. Now, take a foot file and scrub away the soles of your feet with it to take off any remaining dead skin.

Step 5:

Wipe away your feet with a towel and get ready to push your cuticles back. Before tackling your cuticles, put a little baby oil on each finger, so that your cuticles become soft and your job gets easier.

Step 6:

Take out your nail paints and get ready to paint the town red or any other color that you may want. Always apply a base coat, followed by your favorite polish and finish off with a top coat. A base coat will make sure that your nail paint adheres better to the nail and the top coat will seal the polish in so that everything sets and your pedicure last longer.

Step 7:

Now, this is the most fun part of your pedicure. Take out your best foot cream / a light textured oil / body lotion and give yourself a long and calming foot massage that bursts your stress and calms your tired feet after a long day at work. It will be even better if you can get a loved one to help you while you relax completely while having the massage done.

That’s all for today, girls! Hope this helps.
