Hi,

My skin looks so dull and lifeless. I’m 29. In particular, my eyes look so tired though I don’t stress much:( please help. I have a function to attend in 5 days, I don’t want to look sick πŸ™

  1. Preethi….for quick fixes, you can follow the DIY’s on our blog…..scrub in two days mildly, go for a professional facial because that shows results in the shortest time. Also, on the function day, do light makeup with a foundation and compact that matches your skin πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks Jomol πŸ™‚ I will try to go for a facial soon. Also I will use a good foundation on the day of the function. My biggest prob are my eyes:( they jus show up too badly. Will try the remedies that our dear ladies suggest here.

  2. try out applying chana powder with haldi n curds every day, wet cotton pad with rose water n keep on your eyes it ill make eyer relax n make it bright too.. πŸ™‚

  3. Yes, if you want fast results, get a facial from a beauty salon- a good one at that.
You’ll see the difference in a day or two. Alternatively, try scrubs and facepacks as Jomol suggested. For eyes, keep wet (used)tea bags on your eyes and relax for a while. Repeat every night. Also you can keep potato slices on your eyes to brighten and depuff the eye area.

  4. Thanks Shruti…. I will relax with potato slices on my eyes. Also will scrub and put on a pack if time doesn’t permit me for a parlour facial πŸ™‚

  5. exercise – try pilates or yoga – go for a run early in the morning – you`ll get that beautiful fluysh in the cheeks – because of better blood circulation – drink a lot of water – and do your skincare routine properly – moisturise adequately and invest in a good highlighter ^_^

    1. I agree with ur exercise stuff…. I would love to exercise but laziness and sometimes lack of time keeps me away from it. Thanks a lot for your advise πŸ™‚ will definitely try to follow it πŸ™‚

  6. Me too agree for good facial .I also suffered form tired & dull looking eyes then my beautician recommended facial with undereye treatment and used vitamin e capsules while doing it .Results were awesome.I can see visible difference.Hope it helps…

  7. fruit facials do give the skin a glow.Include fruits like oranges ,watermelons, strawberry in your diet, avoid junk food and oily food with maida. Have a good sleep of atleast 8 hours

  8. i think a face pack – bananas + honey is what i use but please read up on packs for your skin type. use a cold press even a spoon left in the freezer for some time should help to a large extent. on the day of the function do remember to splash your face with cold water and then put on light makeup. it will help the face look fresher. if you think your eyes are still not as bright as you would like it to be, dont put too much on the eyes, keep it light and highlight another feature like brighter lips perhaps. for me a bleach works well 2 days before any function but for many it dosent so thats just another option.

good luck and do let us know how it turned out..

    1. Thanks a ton Aru… Will highlight my other features as u say πŸ™‚ Im not sure if bleach will suit me since i haven tried it out. will check it out.
Also will post about how the day turned out to be πŸ™‚

  9. i will tell you a magic potion for this one…
you will need 1 tbspn chokar (the residue that is left when you sieve wheat flour)
    1 pinch turmeric
    very little milk (unboiled)

mix all three of then…add enough milk so as to make a paste…you dont have to make it runny…
apply it on your face for 15-20 min and rinse with warm water…then see your face glowing πŸ™‚

and you can also rub tomato pulp on your face (just cut a ripe tomato into half and rub on face)…keep it for 15 min and wash with lukewarm water
