How to get Rid of Ocassional Pimples : Ask IMBB

Ask IMBB Gang
Mahi Asks :

What should you do when you get occasional pimples on your chin or like one stray one on your cheek? I never really had them before, but suddenly I got a few on different parts of my face…one on each part! πŸ™

Anyways…do you know of any natural remedies to make it go away? or make it heal faster? Or in general what to do with a pimple when you get one?

  1. Just squeeze it..
    😐
    Kidding πŸ™‚
Okay try LOTUS ANTI ACNE GEL
    it;s really helpful
But before that make sure you determine your face whether it’s OILY/COMBI/DRY
    Use a good face wash
Cetaphil is a good face wash if you have a sensitive skin.
    Use lotus anti acne gel.
You can use a good toner-Lush has a good one -Tea tree one πŸ™‚

Drink lots and lots of water -I know it sounds boring and cliche but that what helps you.
You stomach and your face are related
whatever goes in ,Shows up on your face.
Haha πŸ˜› No not talking about constipation..
so you better eat healthy food.
Take some steam on your face etc etc

If it’s too much, go to the doc.
    Skin specialist.

  2. Steam is good to stop pimples but it will exacerbate existing pimples – learned that the hard way. Also if you do have a pimple – avoid face scrubs or anything harsh. Use a mild cleanser and toner (wash your face no more than twice a day) and if you only have like 1 or 2 pimples, grab an over the counter spot treatment from the chemist (one with salicyclic acid or benzoyl peroxide) and use as directed. If you want something natural – try multani mitti, works like a dream. But if you want minimum scarring in the long term – once you get pimples keep your face clean , avoid anything harsh, over washing etc, drink lots of water like Gia said n leave the pimples alone, they should go in a weeks time all by themselves anyways :-)) :-)) :-))

    1. haha as jan said
Ignore it for a peaceful life πŸ˜‰
But make sure you work on getting rid of it too ..Get it?
I know, sounds so contradictory but you will get through the phase.
      :chic:
      good luck!

      1. Lol its a line im still struggling with – ignoring and dealing πŸ˜› πŸ˜› πŸ˜› πŸ˜› πŸ˜› πŸ˜› πŸ˜› πŸ˜› πŸ˜› you twisted twisted woman :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

  3. hey, I too have same problem.
Never had any break out. Occasionally I get a single pop on my forehead or cheek.
I just do one thing. Avoid touching it completely.
Not even use moisturizer. I wash my face with mild facial cleanser and avoid applying anything on that part.
This help to dry up the pimple quicker…like in 2 days its dried and flakes off And if u dont touch it, it wont leave a mark.
Using acne products for occasional break out is not what I recommend as our skin is not prone to acne.
    Hope this helps Mahi. :))

    1. Thanks Jinal! Yeah…I washed my face and that is all…lol…but I have a habit of touching and scratching so lol…I already have the marks…but yeah they will go away soon! It is just one or 2…so not a biggie! πŸ™‚

  4. hi mahi! i have got same problem!
i use vichy normaderm night cream …and lush tea tree water and lush fresh fresh farmacy! n in 2 days its gone!

natural stuff- sandalwood pack by nature’s essence is so cheap but always surprises me and works for my acne n again 1-2 days acne is gone! this seriously works…i will post a review on it soon!

    hope it helped! :-))

    1. wow…damn! the sandalwood thing sounds cool! I wish I could get some here… ! πŸ™ I like natural stuff! but in 2 days…gosh!

  5. If U want to zap it faster, try Retino AC,.its in a gel form..will heal the pimple fast..but it will give you slight peeling effect/dry skin around the pimple ..so put it only on the zit!!works for me..!and it is a πŸ™‚ dermatologist recco!

  6. One here one there, uhhh !!! these bumps are so bad. :reallyangry: :reallyangry: :reallyangry:

anyway ,this is what i do.
As soon you get acne , make a paste of sandalwood and a pinch of camphor and apply to the affected area. Also make sure your nails are very very clean, otherwise the dirt and germs go from the nails to the acne , worsening it .

Just an hour before bed , mix one teaspoon lime juice with 2 teaspoons of rose water and apply to the acne. wash after an hour. Apply a very light oil free moisturiser(clean and clear is good for this) and sleep well. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  7. I use calamine lotion and it really helps dry the pimples and remove redness…i apply a thick layer(like a mask) and let it be overnight…

put 2-3 drops tea tree oil on a cotton and dab the pimple…that helps 2…

colgate toothpaste (not gel)applied on the pimple also helps it dry up fast…

once the pimple has dried u can mix few drops lavender oil with vit e oil and apply it on the area….it makes sure therz no scar left…

  8. and if u need to go out and want to make the pimple less noticeable then apply an ice cube to the pimple and hold it for a few minutes. The ice cube decreases the swelling and redness and at the same time shrinks enlarged pores. Then apply concealer on it…

  9. well as mentioned above by everyone good skin care regime is must, followed by healthy diet with lots of water… even though if pimples do come..following are list of products which can b used on them for spot application
1- clinagel , benzonix 5% ( both available at chemist)
2 -the body shop tea tree blemish gel
3-the body shop tea tree oil
4- vichy normaderm active anti imperfection concentrate

( the list no does not depend on their strenght of efficasy)

  10. well, mostly importantly u should avoid touching it ,
if u have to , apply a topical ointment, like others said.. u cud choose one, or even adapelene. i dont want to confuse u more as u already ahve help now πŸ™‚

but dont forget one thing, if u apply any pimple ointment whether chemist ones or drugstore brands;(vichy/adapelene/retina A or any pimple busting gels.) u must must must use it only in the night and never ever forget sunscreen during the day time or it will have an ulta reaction..making that area darker thus slowing the process :-/

umm and one more thing IF the mark remains u could always use “kojic cream” at night over the marks its available in chemists.. it lightens up the mark and u start noticing the slight results within 3 days and and shows great results in 3 weeks … quite moisturising as well, good for all skin types
but then again dun forget the sunscreen πŸ™‚

  11. mahi u have to beleive me now
as soon as u feel there is an eruption dab hand sanitizer on it
    it kill inflamtion causin bacteria
i have tried it myself….and had no problems
hand sanitizer has alcohol which reduces the bacteria that cause inflamation

u will thank me for this trust me

    1. OMG! I will do exactly that! I actually have sanitizer…but don’t have other stuff and cant really get it since I am in Chicago! πŸ˜› Sanitizer, here i come! πŸ˜›

  12. hey guys… what I usually do is mix a little haldi and water and apply on the pimple it dries it off, acts as an antiseptic and also makes sure it does’nt leave a mark…

    MEOW!! :cat2:

  13. well i am surprised no one said toothpaste :O toothpaste reduces pimples in 2 3 hrs trust me it dries up the pimple quickly once i had a small one and i applied toothpaste and in 3 4 hrs it was gone.the white one not the gel one it works wonders and even soothes ny breakout i get breakouts on my forehead and i apply toothpasteto keep them under contol and also calamine lotion works really well u can apply it over night and in the morning and i think dese things will work on ny type of skin. and i am definitely gonna try the sanitiser i love sanitisers πŸ˜›

  14. for occasional pimples i use erytop(it comes in gel and lotion form). it is easily available at any chemical store nearby. and trust me it really works :victory: :victory:
