My Storage Items’ Haul
Greatly inspired by Naina’s recent post, I recently pledged to arrange my makeup an a more organised and aesthetic manner. And hence I was on the lookout for a makeup organiser. I spotted 5-6 different models of makeup organisers at a local shop but since I was confused between two of them, I finally decided to purchase both instead of narrowing my choice down only to one. To my great chagrin, my entire makeup still does not fit into both 🙁 But I prefer to preserve most of it in my fridge anyways.
Above is picture of a makeup organiser that is in the form of a flat tray. It is made of thick durable plastic and even though the shopkeeper claimed it is breakable, I think only a wrestler will ever have the strength to shatter it to pieces!
This is the second makeup organiser that I got. It is slanted at the top and has three drawers in the lower compartment. You can pull out each drawer separately without disturbing the slanted top or the other drawers.
The drawers open smoothly without making any noise and causing friction. I also find the zigzag design on the 3 horizontal knobs that pull out the three drawers very pretty.
This one is technically a medicine box and has separate compartments to store each medicine that is to be consumed based on day and time. However, I use it to keep my tiny tops which I used to find difficult to locate in a hotchpotch jewellery box. You can, once again, open and close each compartment separately (with a clicking sound) without disturbing the rest. I purchased this box also from the same shop.
These are a few freebies I got with my recent cosmetic hauls. The, by now, infamous pink Colorbar pouch that I got on the purchase of Bronze Shimmer Bar and True Red lipliner. A Colorbar nail paint in Peacock Blue and a navy blue lipstick case that I got on the purchase of Colorbar’s Full Finish Lipstick “Tempt Me” and Colorbar Smoky Grey Eyeshadow. I also bought a blue eyepencil and Silk Pop lipstick from Chambor and was given a Chambor Flowing Lipstick in Rose Garnet- a dark rusty shade. Finally, a sipper free on the purchase of Lotus Herbals products costing around Rs. 1000.
Of all the freebies, I like this lipstick case best. It has an inbuilt mirror and I can carry not one but two lipsticks in this, yay! 🙂
Oh! And this is the final and the best thing out of all the above. 🙂 My mom gifted me this gold bracelet with Meenakari work. I had told Rati about this long ago and had been wanting to put up this picture since then but our family jeweller kept dilly-dallying its delivery because of his intolerance towards the notorious Delhi winter season. Since the cold has more or less subsided now, I finally got this delivered at my home!
Hope all of you enjoyed seeing these pictures . 🙂
