How to Remove Eyeliner from Waterline : Ask IMBB

I am a big time kajal person, so much so that people around me cannot tolerate me without kajal for a minute also. That means I apply kajal on a daily basis.

So my question is what is the best way to remove kajal from the waterline. Is it safe to use make up removers on waterline? (Never did that out of fear that something will happen to my eyes) I usually splash a lot of water in my eyes and clear the kajal with an unused towel. But, that does not clear my eyes completely. What other methods do you guys use?

  1. I don’t think water ever removes kajal!! I also wear kajal on a daily basis and the only time I don’t is when I am in bed… :)) :)) :)) I remove kajal with wet wipes(from dove or kara).. otherwise i use cotton and cleansing milks(small amount) before going to bed… neither of these stings my eyes…

  2. there is a oil based make up remover from biotque. :haanji: i use it to remove kajals. Before that i used coconut oil/olive oil/badam oil etc…. πŸ˜€ dont use towel however soft it may be as the skin in the water line and around the eyes are very sensitive.. :nono: :nono:

  3. i’ve tried maybelline and lakme make-up removers…..for the water line, you will need to put a few drops on a q-tip and then clean the eye….cotton balls are usually too big for the area….and both these removers do not sting the eye or cause any adverse reactions, just that the lakme one is much oilier than maybelline…. you may use olive oil as an alternative…

  4. I also wanted an answer for this… I use Maybelline remover or coconut/ olive oil… Though it doesn’t sting, but I find it gets very messy. It feels very oily and blurry even after I wash it off, and I wake up with horribly gooey and stuck eyes the next morning! :yikes: :yikes: :yikes: Am I doing something wrong here? Help girls!!! :chewnails: :chewnails: :chewnails:

  5. Maybelline makeup remover – cheap n the best one !! does not sting the eye, removes every trace of kajal after swiping 2-3 times πŸ™‚

  6. The way i have found out it to use a Q tip..or cotton buds πŸ˜€ just dip the tip of the bud in makeup remover and glide is across your waterline and voila!! your eyeliner/kajal will be removed easily without spreading or giving you panda eyes πŸ™‚ you can repeat the above process twice is required πŸ™‚ hope this helps!

  7. Thank u sooo much lovely ladies.. Dose were seriously some gu advices.. I hv tried ung olive oil.. N nxt tym i’ll try d q-tip solution..
Thank u rati for posting my query.. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  9. I have used Revlon makeup remover and it was doing a good job. Now that its over, I am using olive oil :haanji: But my kajal never stays on the waterline for more than 2 hours. πŸ˜₯ Which kajal are you using? :dumb:

    1. Jismi try using oriflame’s intensity eyeliner pencil in black..i use it on waterline and it stays the whole day πŸ˜€ i wear contacts so its safe for waterline πŸ™‚ i have tried many kajals and all spread around my eyes but this one doesnt!

  10. any oil that is edible should work – almond oil, olive oil, coconut oil; soak a cotton make-up remover round in the oil, and then place it over your eye for about 10 seconds, and swipe off the kajal; or use a cotton bud in oil and rub over the kajal.

  11. dip a tissue(smooth tissue) in a v little baby oil
wrap it on ur finger and just swoop it on the water line smoothly

I usualy do a second round wid just tissue to ensure no oily residue

  12. Thankyou for the questn as well as the answers..I tried Biotique berberyy lotion it stinged my eyes then revlon eye makeup remover it again stinged my eyes…so i am stuck to almond oil…
Was curious to know if anyonez using Chambor eye makeup remover?

  13. I use olive oil dipped in cotton to remove eyeliner, kajal(from waterline) or any other form of eye makeup. Not only is it safe for your eyes, but also olive oil enhances the growth of luxuriant eye lashes..
