How To Use Baking Soda For Dark Spots

I am back with another post! Many women develop dark spots on their face and body which makes them feel under confident. These dark spots could be the result of excessive melanin production due to over exposure to harmful UV rays from the sun. So what do we do? How do we get rid of these spots? With a simple ingredient from your kitchen- baking soda. Here are some of the different ways to use baking soda for dark spots.

Baking Soda Ways

1. Baking Soda And Lemon:

Baking soda and lemon, both these home ingredients contain bleaching properties which can help to fade away the dark spots on the face. It helps to lighten the spots and also promotes healthy and glowing skin. Take two spoons of baking soda and add some lemon juice to it. Mix together and apply the paste on the dark spots. Allow it to dry and wash off with lukewarm water.

2. Baking Soda And Orange Juice:

Orange juice contains Vitamin C which helps to fade away the dark spots from the face and body easily. Take two spoons of baking soda and add some orange juice to make a thick paste. Apply this paste on the dark spots. Allow it to dry for some time and rinse off with cold water. Pat dry and repeat this every day.

3. Baking Soda And Water:

Using a mixture of baking soda and water can help discourage hyper pigmentation on the skin. It helps to remove the dark spots from the skin easily. Take two spoons of baking soda and add some water to it. Mix together and apply the paste on the dark spots. Massage for 10 minutes and leave it. Wash off with cold water and pat dry.

4. Baking Soda And Honey:

Baking soda exfoliates your skin while honey contains natural humectants which help to reduce the breakouts on the skin. Also using a baking soda and honey paste can help to reduce the appearance of dark spots on the face. Mix equal quantity of baking soda and honey to make a thick paste. Apply this paste on the dark spots and wash off with cold water.

5. Baking Soda And Apple Cider Vinegar:

Apple cider vinegar contains acetic acid which helps to exfoliate the upper layer of the skin thus getting rid of the dark spots. Take two spoons of baking soda and add some apple cider vinegar to it. Apply the paste on the dark spots and leave it for 15 minutes. Allow it to dry and then wash off with cold water. If you have extra sensitive skin, you can add diluted apple cider vinegar to it.

6. Baking Soda And Potato Juice:

Potato contains starch which helps to get rid of the hyper pigmented skin on the face easily. It bleaches the skin thus getting rid of the dark spots on the skin. Take two spoons of baking soda and add some potato juice to it. Mix both the ingredients together to get a thick paste. Apply on the dark spots and wash off with cold water.

7. Baking Soda And Yogurt:

Baking soda exfoliates the skin while yogurt contains active enzymes which help to bleach the skin naturally. Using a mixture of baking soda and yogurt can help to get rid of the dark spots on the face easily. Also, it keeps your skin moisturized and promotes healthy skin.

8. Baking Soda And Milk:

Milk contains lactic acid which helps to treat hyper pigmentation on the skin easily. Also, baking soda can cleanse and exfoliate your skin deeply. Take some baking soda and keep adding milk to it. Make sure you get a thick consistency paste. Apply on the dark spots and rinse off with cold water once dried.
