Today’s review will be on another product from HUDA Beauty. This was something I was super excited about. The shade range was so alluring that I went ahead and grabbed some shades and trust me I can justify picking up 5 shades in one go. The shade that I will be reviewing today is Trendsetter.
Product Description: Non-drying, featherweight, densely-pigmented and with a stunning, suedette finish, there’s nothing about Huda Beauty’s Liquid Mattes we’re not obsessed with. Already causing a furore (we’ve been completely inundated with requests for these lip lacquers), the silky formula applies like a lipgloss then dries in moments – cloaking your pout with a smooth, kiss-resistant veil of vibrant colour that won’t smudge, flake or transfer. Enriched with nourishing ingredients, there’s a shade to match each of the bestselling Lip Contour pencils, alongside seven stunning new hues ranging from deep plum (Material Girl) to on-trend the ’90s beige-brown (Spice Girl) – but be warned! These won’t stick around so snap yours up before your best friend beats you to it.

My Experience with Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick – Trendsetter:
Packaging: I love the packaging of the HUDA beauty liquid matte lipstick. The Packaging of this liquid lipstick is super cool. The lipstick comes in a white sliding carton with open lips biting the lipstick in between, which means you can definitely see the colour from the carton itself. The lipstick tube itself looks very classy, with the frosted tube and the HUDA beauty logo on the top. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the tube. The applicator is a standard doe foot applicator and there is nothing special about the applicator.
Texture: First, they smell delicious! These smell like cake batter. The shade trendsetter is a 90’s brown nude colour which will look flattering on all skin tones. The liquid lipstick is very pigmented and offers full coverage in a single swipe.
The consistency of the HUDA liquid matte lipstick is quite liquidy but, the length of the applicator wand is long enough to control the lipstick application. I didn’t notice any feathering. I was expecting longer drying time since, these were so liquidy but, surprisingly these dry down quickly (1-1.5 minutes).
These glide on effortlessly and are not at all patchy on the lips. The thing that I like about HUDA beauty liquid matte lipstick is that in comparison to the other liquid lipsticks these doesn’t cling onto the dry patches. Somehow they managed to look even when there were dry patches on my lips.
You can definitely put on the second layer without looking Cakey. These are not transfer-proof as these do transfer a bit. These felt super lightweight and comfortable on the lips but, when I had lunch it completely worn off which was a major disappointment from a liquid lipstick. I got 4 to 5 hours of wear time without drinking or eating.
