Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette Smokey Review

If there’s any of my favorite product from Huda Beauty, I think it would be the “Obsession” palettes from the brand. Let’s find out why. I am reviewing “Smokey” from the Obsessions range.

My Experience with Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette Smokey:

These “Obsessions” palettes are so cute, they pretty much fit the size of your palm, and they come with 9 eyeshadow colors, which is amazing and they are all themed. The one that I am reviewing today is called “Smokey” Obsession. This palette also has a mirror attached on the inside. It’s also very handy. The eyeshadows are full size eyeshadows that you get in Huda Beauty regular palettes.

There are 9 absolutely gorgeous colors in each palette and I think a lot of thought has been put into creating this palette because not only can you create everyday smokey looks, just like soft or you know, “shimmer on the lid” kind of a look, with just soft brown on the crease, you know, just a hint of color, or just to smudge out your kajal. I think it’s absolutely gorgeous!

Here are the shades explained number-wise:

Smokey 1 : matte black
Smokey 2 : warm yellow brown (skin tone shade)
Smokey 3 : medium cool toned shimmery brown
Smokey 4 : sparkly silver
Smokey 5 : cool toned chocolaty satin finish brown with gold flecks
Smokey 6 : warm coppery gold textured
Smokey 7 : deep dark cool toned brown
Smokey 8 : mid tone mauve brown
Smokey 9 : warm shimmery champagne

The gold in the palette is so beautiful, it’s like a little copper-ish gold, it’s not like your regular gold. The matte browns – there are two shades of dark brown in the palette – one is like really intense dark, one is medium dark. and they give dimension to the eyeshadow looks that you create. There is also a pewter silver color with which you can create party looks. There are two rose gold color eyeshadows which have a soft sheen to them. They have metallic finish to them. There is also a matte black which is not like my most favorite black eyeshadow, but you know, in the palette, it complete the whole palette. In fact, it won’t be a smokey palette without this
“black” eyeshadow. The black eyeshadow in my palette got crushed because I bought this from Paris and carried it all the way to India.

These eyeshadows are soooo sooo good. I haven’t had problem with any of the texture of these eyeshadows. They barely have fallout and are very long lasting, but I would also like to tell you that I always use an eyeshadow primer underneath because I have very oily eyeshadows. With a primer, these shadows haven’t creased, they haven’t faded, they look fresh throughout the day or evening. You can create so many eyeshadow looks with this just one palette!

It’s like a universally-flattering palette for all skin tones and even if you are like a party girl, if you are an everyday kind of a person, if you are just a kajal girl, this is like such an ideal palette to use on a day-to-day basis as well as on special occasions.

It’s a gorgeous palette for brides also because you have your golds, you have your browns and metallics and soft browns for texture and black for the kohl and everything. I like how compact this palette is. It is so handy, it is easy to travel with. It doesn’t look like much, but it is like a power-packed palette and I cannot recommend you enough. If you can get hold of it, definitely get hold it.

I have created one look with this eyeshadow palette, but I am going to create more of looks, I absolutely absolutely love it.
