My Experience with Huda Beauty Socialite Liquid Matte Lipstick:

Huda beauty is known for their eye-catching packaging, especially their cute outer lipstick box is just wow. The lipstick itself comes in a sleek, square frosted tube with a black cap. The shade name is present at the bottom of the tube. The applicator is a standard doe-foot applicator that helps well in lipstick application. The packaging is very travel-friendly and lightweight. The frosted lipstick tube itself looks very sophisticated with the Huda beauty logo printed on the top. These lipsticks have a fake sweet vanilla cake scent to them.

Huda has a huge variety of shades in her liquid lipstick collection. The shade “Socialite” is a soft peachy pink with rose gold shimmer. This is a light shade that may not work for deeper complexions.

Now coming to the formula, these are described as liquid mattes but these more like a metallic gloss. I was not impressed by this lipstick. It was a huge let down unlike the other Huda Beauty Liquid Mattes. I felt that the colour was very light and sheer and it doesn’t pop on your lips as much as a matte one. You cannot fill your lips with this because, the colour is not as defined and you can’t make your lips look fuller with this. The shimmer in this looks pretty, but it doesn’t work on its own on the lips.

The pigmentation is very thin and sheer that it definitely needs more than two layers to at least cover my lips and since it barely dries down, it kept moving around when I tried to overlay layers.

The staying power of this is quite poor which is just for 2 to 4 hours. I think these will work well as lip toppers and also as a gloss, but definitely not as a liquid matte.
