Hey IMBBians!

Can you please help me out? I have a very sensitive skin and have rashes and blackheads on my face. I feel the products that initially suit me give me an allergic reaction in some time. Because of this, I am scared to use any product on my face, please guide as to what I should do.

  1. I’d recommend seeing a dermatologist, Priyanka. The blackheads aren’t a biggie, but the rashes are something that call for professional attention. Until then stay away from cosmetics with too many ingredients (it seems you’re allergic to something).

Stick to a simple face wash (pick one that doesn’t make your eyes water, that way you know it has safe ingredients) and apply a few oils of pure coconut oil or olive oil afterward.

Do see a derm, and let us know how it goes 🙂

  2. First visit a dermatologist, he will prescribed you something which suits your skin. For rashes get Avene Thermal Spring water asap..it works miraculously well for rashes, infact it is for sensitive skin only..i have reached it here..it soothes the skin like nothin else!
for blackheads if on nose you can use a nose strip..or else take steam once a week and scrub..this should also help in eliminating blackheads..i personally recommend using sebamed clear face cleansing foam which is again perfect for sensitive skin and works pretty well on zits, whiteheads n blackheads! this was recommended to me by my derma 🙂
    hope this helps

  3. Please visit a dermatologist as soon as possible. Stick to products that work for you. There are some very mild cleansers like fash, episoft, Avene cleansers(that suit your skin type) which clean your skin but are not very harsh. Use a derma prescribed moisturiser (emolene, Avene moisturiser according to your skin type or Lactocalamine classic) and sunscreen (Suncros, Avene, La roche posay, neutrogena, melagard). and NO MAKEUP till your skin gets back to normal state.
PS: I just quoted some product brands, but please use them on your dermatologists recommendations as he/she might assess your skin better.

  4. Please visit a dermatologist. A good one that too. Because if you wait anymore, the rashes might become severe. No need to panic as there are many medicinal ointments to get rid of your condition, but all those are recommended by dermatologists only.
