I will be visiting Goa this month end and I live in Bangalore, need to know the following:
- The best oilfree sunscreen you think is a must have.
- Any good tinted moisturizer I should be carrying.
- What kind of make up do we use on the beach (need to look good in pictures :-))
- Also I wanted to know the kind of footwear which looks trendy.
Beach makeup-
Sunscreen is a must 🙂
I would say try the neutrogena one!
And about the makeup
Don’t wear much ,Maybe a bit of Bronzer to give that tan look , but according to me A lot of makeup in the beach won’t look that good! Carry a cool pair of shades!

Keep your hair super wavy !
Wet it-Put some Leave in conditioner or Gel [not those hard gels-The one you get for curls :)]
The messy look would go well with the beach.
About Footwear-
Flip flops are the best!
Or even oshos 😀
I would say wear some super colorful flip flop or a neon one with subtle colored clothes :-))
Don’t forget to carry a pair of nice shorts and cotton sleeveless one piece dresses in vibrant colors 😉

carry lacto calamine lotion
brown eye pencil for upper lash line
matte lipstick which would stay (in case u want to add color to ur lips)
and cover girl lash blast in water proof if at all u need mascara
tie ur hair up in fundo bun on top of the crown and leave bangs open
dont let sea water kill ur hair and defintely try moisturising ur skin with body lotion as sea water in goa gave me icthiness
any colorful plastic flip flops would do
u would be “nange paer ” when u are in the sea water so who cares 😀

be careful with sunscreens – most wash off within an hour with just sweat and with water they wont even be left. some are sweat proof – like Neutrogena Ultra Sheer spf 50 or one of the Lotus Herbal ones (these generally are whitish and sticky)or u may get the Banana Boat ones near by in Goa. Reapplication anyways is necessary
Waterproof eyeliner or eye pencil and mascarra – would just do it
(MAC’s Liquilast liquid liner wont go away even with soap, so tats good; many do waterproof mascarra – Maybelline, Avon, Estee Lauder and all)
think cream blushes / bronzers stay on more than powder versions. get them if u need it. But cheek tints may work the best :kissed:
try crocs footwear.
ok u asked make up / footwear – just extending some unsolicited ones – sorry if u dont like it 🙂
SARONGS! get some nice bright colors – that go with ur swimsuit!
Take a hat – that is big enuf to cover ur face and almost till necks – apart frm swanky shades 🙂
pack some beach towels if ur acco doesnt provide any. or some thin mat sorta thing to put ur things on, in the beach while u r away swimming
some waterproof bag or backpack to carry little things to the beach side again
not sure u use a waterproof camera or not. if not some sort of bag to
keep it safe

Lots of great advice already posted.. me wants to add a few 🙂 …more like a lessons learnt from my recent beach holiday since I turned ‘makeup obsessed’ 🙂 Eye makeup is a sheer waste since you will be wearing shades all the time! Realized that on day 1, spent a lot of time doing up my eyes and waterproof mascara – poof! no use 🙂 Lip stains, lip balms are better for that dash of colour. Blush/bronzer are probably the only useful makeup to give that glowy look. AND my biggest lesson learnt – shop for sarongs, beach footwear, beach accessories all at the beach!! The variety there is unbelievable. I searched high n low at the city’s malls for stuff and got so-so stuff..I land up there and was blown away by what you can get right outside your hotel! Enjoy! Goa is a fab place.

Hey!!! Goa is an amazing place!!!! Have been twice der..once wid hubby n once wid only gfs….like suggested must haves are:
1) Cute pair of shorts n ganjees
2) Huge Sunglasses
3) Sunscreen n moisturiser
4) Cute red chappals..i have a real comfy pair from Lotto n i roam arnd everywhere waearng dem…gr8 wen u go for shoppn too as happy feet=more time shopping 😉
5) Huge Necklaces n trinklets…u will find an amzing collection in GOA itself!!!!
6) Nice summer dresses for evenings out!!!
