  1. hmmm…difficult task πŸ™‚

here goes my list after aloot of thinking

    1. Eye Artist
    2. Eye Pot (I hvnt used this, but planning to get 1 for myself too)
    3. Jewel Sindoor (if reqd)
    4. Aquashine lipcolor
    5. Nail paint in gold color (reviewd by Neha)

  2. he he mine would be a similar list

    1. Lakme Eye Artist
    2. Lakme Jewel Sindoor
    3. Lakme Glide on Eye Colour
    4. Lakme Eye Pot ( if you find it anywhere. It is out of stock at most places and shops are not getting the new stock as well)
    5. Lakme Aquashine Lip Colour. (Good but I am not a fan of their staying power. Well! you need something to crib about as well  )

      1. yup!! these days shopper’s stop here is out of stock of most things. Someone else was also complaining the other day but I had not faced such problem till then. Now I am noticing that they are out of stock of a lot of Lakme products. And HD, we may crib or cry we also know that Lakme sells. We ourselves go and pick up stuff every now and then. Weird! πŸ˜•

        1. Lakme Sells!!! Definately!! Even if we exclude ourselves from loyal lakme customers, there are a whole lot of ladies out there who use makeup regularly and they are only exposed to Lakme…cant blame thm…until a few years back I was one of thm…I still hv those lakme lipsticks and nail paints…jus trying to finish thm off now πŸ™‚

Infact at the beauty store I see sooo many ladies just enter and walk straight to the lakme counter and purchase stuff…they dont even check other brands…I get this itching feeling many times to tell thm dont waste ur money on this stuff, u would rather get much better things the same price in other brands….thn I control myself πŸ˜€

And not all lakme products are bad…some are really good…and the best part abt Lakme is its availability…even my local medical store has a lakme counter…how much more easier cna it get to buy makeup

          1. I agree. A small grocery store guy in my area was telling me that I should buy makeup from him because he keeps ” all” makeup stuff. All makeup stuff meant “All Lakme products” . It’s just available everywhere. You don’t have to bother about going to a particular store and pick up stuff.

It was me who introduced my family and friends to so many other brands. All they would go is just spent their purse full of money at Lakme and use the products also gladly. πŸ˜› Now that they use other brands they realize that some other companies also make good stuff.

I still remember my mom used to save money every month to buy a Lakme lipsticks. Now I have converted her. :rotfl:

            1. Same here!! Ditto!!! I never ventured into other brands thinking all these intl brands would be very expensive etc…but once I had explored the other brands I’ve hardly bght any cosmetic from Lakme…only buying stuff like facewashes, nail polish remover etc…I buy most of the stuff for my mom…though she hardly uses anything…and yes have exposed quite a few friends too to the other brands πŸ™‚ n I feel good that atleast they ar spending their money wisely now

        2. And I wanted the bronze colored eye pot and found it in Big Bazaar. Asked the SA to open it, she did and it was completely completely dried up. It would have fallen out in one chunk if she had inverted it. And that was the only piece they had.

And I just bought a Lakme eye liner without swatching it because they did not have a tester.

  3. I have told these to yesterday too… πŸ˜› πŸ˜›

    1. Eye Artist (that pen!) or the Lakme Black Impact Liner or both!
    2. Jewel Sindoor (stock up!)

But let me tell you, the rest – I am sure you will get a similar or a better version out there! My two bits – dont carry too much except if you know you cant get it (like sindoor) – so you can spend a bit exploring brands there πŸ™‚ [sorry if u didnt like my answer :()
.-= Gaea´s last blog ..Versace – The Beauty and the Beast! =-.

    1. Gaea – it’s a lovely answer and probably the most sensible thing to do! (After all, I AM going to the land of make up for ever!) πŸ˜€

  11. kiki, i’ve not tried too many lakme products, so i don’t think i can come up with FIVE products, but you must definitely get their eyeliner pencils. they come in a variety of colours and are very, very affordable.

  12. This is a great question. COz it will help me , for when I visit I can make a consolidated list of what I want instead of being all over the place..I already figured that Lakme eye artist is a must buy..It appears in most people’s list πŸ™‚

  13. I haven’t tried much from Lakme, but as far as I have, the Eye Artist is excellent and I am definitely going to buy the aquashine next time πŸ™‚

  14. (i) Aquashine lipstick – i have teracotta and sangria red

(ii) Eyeliner in jewel tones – i have black with glitter and a grey – both are from different lines

(iii) ginger blush (in my wishlist)
