Rules for Buyers

1. Sale for any product would be on a first-come-first-serve basis through the comments section. If someone is interested in a product she can still bid for it even if it has been already bid for by someone else. So we can have bidder 1, bidder 2, bidder 3 etc. for some product. The chance to buy that product first will go to bidder 1; if bidder 1 does not respond bidder 2 would be given a chance to buy the product, and so on.

2. Please be sure before making a bid for the product. If you have made a bid for the product, please stand by your words and buy the product you have bid for. If you make the first bid for the product and then change your mind or fail to transfer the money after the sale is over, we would request you not to participate in our future Sunday Bazaars sales. If sellers are taking pains to showcase their products for you, it is also your moral duty to be an ideal buyer.

3. You have to confirm that you are purchasing a product of a seller by emailing the seller within 24 hours. Also, you need to transfer the amount in the seller’s account within 48 hours of receiving the seller’s bank account details. In case of a lack of confirmation or a lack of transfer of funds in the seller’s account, the seller has a right to offer the product to the next bidder.

4. If you have transfered the amount in the seller’s account, you cannot cancel your order with the seller. Also, you cannot return the product once it reaches you. In case you have issues about a product once it reaches you, please contact us and we shall provide you the seller’s contact details. Please note that you are buying the products at your own risk and the seller is not liable to refund your money. However, you are free to discuss your concerns with the seller.

IMBB RECOMMENDS

70 thoughts on “IMBB Sunday Bazaar, February 26, 2012

          1. As I buy yearly stock frm India in every Dec..hardly know @ local market. Abhi to surviving on Fair & Lovelies & Vicco Turmerics & 1st time using Lacto Calamine as these all products help in mattifying my oily skin.. 🙂

              1. And imagine…Am using it for the 1st time.. 😐 Though have noticed it keeps my skin oil-free for longer time. Why do you recommend it..?! Other benefits..? :methinks:

                1. 1-I am absolutely against Fair n lovely and other skin whitening products….
2- Vicco turmeric broke me out
3- Lactcalamine and other calamine lotions like Dermocalm lotion, ceradryl, suit my skin well and since thy have slight pink tint, thy give lightttt coverage too 🙂

                  1. Thanx for the detailed analysis. As I am not much into cosmetic-ology…stuck to F&L & VT since I was teenager as fresh & matt look was & is the prime motive..but yea..der aaye durust aaye @ LC..it does give that natural foundation-y finish..

  3. Just dropped in to see how this works and say good morning… :yahoo: :yahoo:
Quite fun it seems.. Me just window shopping today but good luck to buyers and sellers :pompom:

  4. luving ur suit Amita :woot: but i hav so many n last mnth, i shopped so much tht i am not buying anything more 😐 … atleast dresses  .. but nice collection of suits dear

    1. Nitika, I think u find a lot of fun in inquiring about products and telling u want to buy it, but u dont have the basic courtesy to atleast mail or reply that u have changed ur mind !
I am least interested in selling anything to u at all…. ! So dont bother in future !

      1. Nitika,

I would not comment on anything else but please read rule 2 for buyers:

        2. Please be sure before making a bid for the product. If you have made a bid for the product, please stand by your words and buy the product you have bid for. If you make the first bid for the product and then change your mind or fail to transfer the money after the sale is over, we would request you not to participate in our future Sunday Bazaars sales. 1. Nitika,

You have been in touch with us through emails and you have been commenting on contest posts. It would have taken a second for you to email Nupur or comment here that you did not want to buy the products. People naturally assume that the products would go to the first bidder and stop bidding for it (even though we asked them to).

I agree things could have been sorted out politely. For that you need to talk to Nupur. We are not barring you from community for that matter but we would definitely appreciate it if you can keep the sanctity of Sunday Bazaar.

          1. Nitika,
i guess there is no point fighting over this sale issue. I was probably more upset wid u because this is not the first time u have done this ,right !
If you wud have asked me abt the mascara i wud have given u full details abt it. also, i dont understand the connection b/w a Mascara and skin type issue ,
and u do have my mail id as we have exchanged a few emails before too.
            Anyways,
u are under no obligation to buy it, a simple comment mentioning that u have changed ur mind abt it wud have been fine. The products wud be on sale next month too, so I am not worried abt them.
You are also into a lot of online selling, so wud appreciate if ppl take u for granted by telling u dat thy want to buy a few products and later on just forget abt it ?
and I have been on IMBB for a long time now and I am the last person here who wud get into writing inappropriate comments.

  5. Wowww!!! As a person who rarely comments on IMBB and definitely never has any useful constructive buying comments to make on the IMBB Sunday Bazaar..I did want to add a bit and stretch this bubblegum issue some more 😛 😛 😛

I don’t mean anyone specific (specifically, I am not talking about Nitika Bhatia but rather about this process in general), but I think a lot of people mail sellers asking about the details that are already mentioned very clearly in the post (and a few with some really genuine questions). This isn’t an online website which specializes exclusively in sales..it’s more of a friends selling things online, so there is a degree of informality that goes with it. The sellers do tend to grant a lot more leeway with respect to payment options, comments, etc. If someone expresses interest in some product they do wait to see if the person is planning on buying before giving it to someone else. A few people, though, mail regarding buying – and by “regarding buying” I mean that they say they want to buy and mail the same to the sellers – but do not bother with the money transfers. And I think that’s just taking advantage of someone’s time and patience.

Personally, if I ever sell something on IMBB I would never ever entertain any other mail other than “I have transferred the money” Everything else – the mail and the sender – would probably just go to spam forever. One reason why I won’t be winning Miss Congeniality award here, but at least I will sleep peacefully knowing I didn’t waste my time.

O:) O:) O:) O:) O:) O:) Please feel free to delete this long ranting comment Sanjeev/Rati, but it irritates me how people think others have no other work than checking and replying to their nonexistent mails.

Oh…and I have nothing against friendly chit-chatting mails, just don’t send it under the topic of IMBB Bazaar. And don’t even get me started on the “can I pay later” mails..oh yes, I do know all about those too.

    1. Waise Castor, people do send a lot of query mails when they buy products in Sunday Bazaar.. Through my long-term experience at Tathagat, I have realized it has more to do with generating confidence with the seller than with the actual product. When people are spending money, even 100 Rs. online they want to be sure about the seller on the other side. In short, if you ever sell anything online have patience to reply to those emails, even when the answers are obvious. 🙂

      1. Hhehe when Furfurrr told me that you have replied to my comment, I was too scared to come and check :ghost: :ghost: :ghost: :ghost: :ghost: am very scared of Maths teaches as it is :ghost: :ghost: :ghost: :ghost: :ghost: No no I totally understand that part…that’s what I meant by it’s an informal friends kinds of atmosphere. And I think a lot of people appreciate that about it. To be perfectly honest, I myself will ask a thousand questions before buying, but I also would take the time to see if those details are already there in the post 😛 😛 Okay, I do understand people might miss out on it..I am also a world-class scatterbrain…bows..thankoo thankooo O:) O:) O:) .

My problem is with the few who think informal/friendly = not serious. I know this is kind of an oversimplification, but there are a lot of shops we go to regularly where the SA or the owner might be someone we talk a lot to…I can ask them to order something specifically for me, tell them I dont like this or prefer that, etc., but I don’t think that means I can buy the item and pay later..whenever I remember…if I remember, etc. I don’t understand how that same simple concept doesn’t apply anywhere else.

Again, me not trying to demean anyone or offend anyone who asks a lot of questions, it’s your money, you should definitely ask before spending!! But don’t just ask because you want to spend some time online 😛

        1. I’m a very harmless and nice Math teacher. :shy: :shy: :shy: By the way, do you need an NYX mascara in brown shade? The paypal transaction can be arranged

          1. 😐 😐 😐 😐 😐 😐 😐 :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: Note to self: Never trust a Maths teacher..you will end up being asked to buy brown mascara O:) O:) O:)

              1. Tell my Hi to Mrs. Donkey….I think she needs some extra scoops of ice cream and some nice chocolates :puchhi: …that was for her….:|
