Imperial Leather – I had seen and used this brand’s products during my childhood days, when my dad used to get me the bar soaps from the Gulf Bazaar. Recently, I found this in one of the online stores and I remembered how creamy the soaps were and the tantalizing fragrance and I didn’t have a second thought about picking this up and I grabbed it. Please read on further to know my experience with this shower cream.

My Take on Imperial Leather Hawaiian Spa Limited Edition Nourishing Shower Cream:
The shower cream comes in a lilac-colored transparent bottle which looks shiny and silky with a flip open cap. The shape of the bottle reminds me of the Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner bottles. The wavy shaped bottle looks sturdy and leak proof. The product claims to be a shower cream, but it is definitely a gel. The consistency is a little runny and the gel looks transparent and lilac in color. Now that the gel is runny, one needs to be careful while squeezing out the gel.
The gel has a fragrance of coconut and flowers, which very relaxing and pleasant. It smells very feminine. The aroma is mild and people who are sensitive to heavy smells will not have a problem. But the smell lingers in the bathroom only for a while and the moment you step out, its gone!
Now, lathering is a big turn off. It does not lather well with a little amount on the loofah. It may be due to the brackish hard water of Chennai. I believe this bottle is not going to last a long time for me!
Speaking about the nourishing qualities, the gel feels soft and relaxing and keeps the skin smooth. The extracts of coconut milk and the tiare flowers are at their best to keep the skin soft and nourished. My skin felt fresh and did not feel stripped off moisture. It is easier to rinse the gel from the body unlike other creamy shower gels which require plenty of water to rinse off.
Now, summing up the pros and cons:
Pros of Imperial Leather Hawaiian Spa Limited Edition Nourishing Shower Cream:
- Coconut and flowery aroma; smells more flowery than coconut.
- Moisturising, does not make your skin feel dry and tight.
- Sturdy packaging.
- Budget product.
Cons of Imperial Leather Hawaiian Spa Limited Edition Nourishing Shower Cream:
- Does not lather much.
- Claims to be a shower cream, but it’s a shower gel.
Overall, its not a bad product. If you are looking to try variants of shower gels, do check this out. This did not break me out. I had used shower creams/gels from other brands with better aroma and creaminess and this comparatively is an average product, being priced reasonably.
