Daily stress, tension, pollution, exposure to extreme weather and ultra violet sun rays are some of the reasons which can effect your skin complexion. Lack of vitamins, moisture and sleep, unhealthy eating habits, not following proper skin care regime, late nights, smoking, drinking, not drinking enough water can have adverse effects on your skin complexion.
Skin Care Regime:
1. Cleanse Your Skin Twice Daily:
Cleansing your facial skin daily twice at am and pm is a must. Cleansing helps get rid of all the dust, dirt, grime and gives a clean fresh looking skin.
2. Choose The Right Facial Wash:
Depending on your skin type, use the right face wash to cleanse your skin daily. Use a gentle facial cleanser meant for your skin type. There are different types of cleansers available for different skin types and to address different skin problems.
3. Use Cold or Lukewarm Water:
Use cold or lukewarm water to wash your facial skin. Hot water will make your skin dry and strip moisture from your skin.
4. Use Patting and Pampering Movements:
Dry your facial skin with a soft textured towel and use patting movements. Do not rub your facial skin roughly, instead, pamper and love it.
5. Toning and Moisturising:
After washing your face remember to tone and moisturise your skin. 1. Drink Plenty Of Water:
You should drink eight to ten glasses of water daily, to keep yourself hydrated. Water helps flush out impurities from your body, keeps you moisturised and gives a healthy glow to your complexion.
2. Drink Green Tea:
Green tea is rich in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties. It is great for your skin. Try drinking warm or iced green tea, without any sugar added.
3. Drink Fruit Juices:
Fruits have lots of vitamins, anti oxidants and moisturising properties. Drink unsweetened, natural and fresh fruit juices. This will keep your body hydrated, flush out toxins and give a healthy and younger looking complexion.
4. Drink Fresh Tender Coconut Water:
Keep your skin and body hydrated with coconut water. It allows you to ingest multiple beneficial vitamins and nutrients such as vitamin C, B, K, zinc, iodine, selenium, manganese, and more. These ingredients will nourish you from the inside out, boosting your skin complexion and overall health.
Avoid late nights, make sure to get at least seven to eight hours of sleep daily. Sleep is important for your complexion and overall health. While you are sleeping, skin repairs and restores itself. Try to sleep on your back, instead of sides or on stomach. This will help prevent wrinkles, puffiness and under eye bags. Use a soft smooth satin pillow cover, avoid abrasive and cotton pillow covers. Keep your head slightly elevated while sleeping to prevent fluid buildup on your face.

Helps repair damage and keeps skin soft. You can find it in fish, lean red meat, poultry, nuts, seed, shell fish and whole grains.
Avoid Unhealthy Food Habits:
Avoid junk, fried, oily and processed foods. They may damage your skin or have adverse effects. Some foods do more harm, than good to your skin. You should consume less dairy products, carbohydrates, white flour and sugar. These may lead to acne, skin sagging and premature ageing.
