I need your help in choosing the right makeup stuff. I am getting married next month and I am wheatish and have normal to dry skin. My eyes are dark. I am confused whether to choose Revlon colorstay/Maxfactor age renew/MAC Studio fluid fix foundation. Also which lipstick colors would suit me? I tried Lakme Perfect Radiance foundation and it was a disaster in fotos. Also which eye pencil would you suggest? Please help.

Sudha……..i suggest you try the samples of these foundations first if they are available. If no samples are available, click your pic right there at the showroom if you have a camera and see if there is whitish cast or patchy or cakey. If you have MAC store in your city, you can go there directly and get tested for the correct foundation with the help of MUA…..BTW, sudha, you are the same person who called me “very intelligent” yesterday na…………… O:) O:) O:) O:) O:) O:)

First of all heartiest congratulations to you!! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: Whatever foundation you choose, just keep it in mind that any foundation with higher amount of SPF will give you whitish cast in fotos with Flash. This is the reason why you should stick to lower SPF foundations when getting ready for night. So, choose accordingly for both day time and night time occasions. For photos I prefer Revlon Colorstay..its matte and shows up your blush and highlighter well. I top it with M.A.C Studio fix powder for flawless photography.
For wedding eye make-up should be traditional…..yet not OTT.
I am NC 42 and both pinks and brown undertone lipsticks work nice. Stay away from bright pinks and reds.
And yes do take samples and try and photograph with those and find out wat works best.

Sudha, I suggest that you look for Revlon or studio fix fluid foundation. age miracle is quite creamy and I wouldn’t suggest it for weddings. I think if you are gtting your makeup done at a salon, your mUA owuld take care of the primer an dthe fact that your makeup stays put for hours..
I like the colorbat i glide pencils. you can also check lakme glid on eye colour, lakme 9 to 5 pencils, revlon colorstay or maybelline vivid lines,

making charges are like that everywhere fartu……you know, in this malabar gold…..there is a seperate section for kids jewerlly…a.nd they mickey mouse on the bracelets and all, and it has apparenlty 21% making charge…whereas if you buy a normal braclet…..they would charge you anywhere from 12% to 15% making charge only

i found malabar gold quite expensive here, esp for diamonds there is huge price diff compared to joy alukkas, and less collections!
