  1. First of all congratulations Dipti and wish you all the very best πŸ™‚
Your skin probably is de-hydrated, drink loads and loads of water, also try using Sebamed Face Wash for sensitive skin, it will not dry out your skin and help maintain the PH balance of your skin making is healthy and supple…I am using it currently and love it – will review it in a day or two so do check back
You can def get advise from your derma..I do think chemical peels help but I have not used them personally so not sure

Eyeliners – Faces and Colorbar are best – I love Faces more πŸ™‚
Kajal – Get MAC Smolder – its the best
Moisturizer – I swear by Vichy’s normaderm range moisturizer, works perfectly well for my combination skin, do check it out, even lacto calamine is good
Sunscreen – I love Lotus spf 40 matte effect one
Face Primer – Try Inglot or MAC
Eye Primer – MAC Paint pots are excellent and can be used as primer or alone also, nyx high definition eye primer also has got good reviews, i love nyx eyeshadow base in skintone too..even’s out darkness on eye lids and really helps the eyeshadow to stick better
Foundation – For marriage you need something which will give you that flawless finish in pics..Kryolan foundations are BEST in this, I too have it and its absolutely amazing! Do give kryolan foundations try, they seriously are amazing, gives flawless finish!
Lipstick – For long wearing budget lipstick try inglot lipstick refills, they have huge variety and are highly highly pigmented! Bold colors will stay on forever! You can even try Faces Satin Matte range or Colorbar Matte lipsticks
Loose Powder – again kryolan is damn good, i am currently loving ben nye banana powder as well πŸ™‚
Blush – go for matte finish blushes only! Check out MAC for some great blushes, in drugstore brand colorbar has some decent ones though recently they have hiked their prices..even loreal has some really pretty blushes
    Nailpaints – NYX, Colorbar etc
    Hope this was helpful πŸ™‚

  4. hello dipti congrats on your upcoming wedding.
    let me go by priority!
your fiance is comming this thursday. so a quick fix for that:
since skincare products are not working for you so try this everynight :apply lime juice( if you prefer mix it with honey and remember lemon on face will sting) on face for 20-30min and rinse it with normal water, dont use warm water. then apply rosewater like a toner and have a good night sleep. If you prefer refrigerate rosewater bottle for extra cooling effect. on the day you are getting ready to meet him, rub 2-3 cubes of ice on your face before you apply your makeup. the cold ice will give you a natural pink color to your cheeks and will hydrate your skin as well as help your makeup stay longer. these home tips are coz you dont want to stretch your budget.
now as for your products. reasonably priced is a subjective term. but i’ll go by the price of lakme.
1)eyeliner : try avon glimmer sticks. i have heard good reviews about it and they have some good colors.
3)moisturiser: your skin is oily and acne prone be careful with moisturisers! depending on your budget try clean and clear moisturiser or the body shop tea tree moisturiser. i used clean and clear yrs ago when i was in college and my skin always broke out. it was good product for the price. if you can spend then i will say surely go for TBS.
4)sunscreen use whatever suits you but min is SPF15. on budget i will recomend spectra ban. great for oily skin! i get mine from pharmacy stores in mumbai.
6)foundation: have you tried MAC? since you say you have spend thousands! you could spend some more. mac studio fix gives good coverage and lasts longer than most other foundations i have tried. but its not for casual everyday use, it will be too heavy. otherwise revlon colorstay also has good lasting power. i have not tried it though but heard about it. if you dont mind spending some money clinque has good foundations too. they even have a liquid foundation for acne prone skin. i believe it is called clinique even better anti blemish (something) foundation. my friend uses it and she loves it. so go shop for something new before your fiance comes. try them in store and see if they cover up for you before buying.
    7) if you lipstick wears off try this: fill your lips with lipliner first. then apply your lipstick. then apply pressed or loose powder on your lips and then apply lipstick on top of it. it will help your lipstick stay longer! this way you can finish off your old compact and use the lipsticks you already have. you can skip lipliner as well if you dont want to spend.
8)loose powder i use bare minerals foundation. donno where you will get it in india? the body shop pressed powder is good but it gives sheer coverage so wont cover up your scars. you can use it on your foundation.
9)try a bronzer instead of blush. or maybe just skip it since it makes your scars visible. however i would like to add if you have so many scars why dont you cover them with concealers. i dont use primer but instead i use concealer for my dark circles.
10)nail paints i like the shades of revlon and avon. i do have loreal as well but that is expensive and i dont spend too much on expensive nail paints. i do use good base and top coat!
sorry for such a long post!
2)i dont use kajal instead i use kohl eyeliner. i have them from sephora and mac.

  5. i too hve oily-combination skin.
for covering blemishes, lightly apply an oil-free foundation with a wet sponge and if needed, use a concealer over it. set it with a matte finish compact.

    my suggestion for various products:
1.kajal- lakme black satin, MAC teddy/smolder kohl
    2.moisturiser- neutrogena oil-free moisture
3.sun screen- neutrogena dry touch spf 50 sunblock
    4.face primer- inglot
    5. eye primer- MAC paint pot, oriflame absolute eye concealer
6.foundation- MAC prowear/studiofix (one time investment and u will be happy always!)
7.lipstick- try MAC, bourjois matte, Inglot freedom system lip colors (all reviewed at IMBB)
8.loose powder- The Body Shop extra virgin minerals
9.blush- before heading towards using blush, conceal your scars first with the foundation/concealer. Try colorbar blushes in cosmic rose/just earth.
    10.nail paint- revlon, maybelline

lightly scrub your face with a fine-granule scrub atleast once in every 4 days, avoiding any active acne.
wear sunscreen always and start following a proper cleansing-toning-moisturising routine twice a day.
it will really help with your acne healing.
go for a salicylic acid face wash like neutrogena deep clean or clean and clear.
u can use aroma magic alcohol-free skin toner or just plain rose water as your toner.

  6. Hi Dipti,
    Many congratulations to you.
Have you tried Bodyshop Tea tree line (Facewash & Toner) for oily skin that stuff is awsome

    Here are my recommendations

    1.Eyeliner : Revlon Colorstay

    2.kajal-Revlon colorstay eye pencil

3.moisturiser : Lotus Aloe Vera Moisturising Gel

4.sun screen : I wold say use some nice brand for sunscreen as most of them tend to make a white layer on face so try kiehl’s or vichy

5.primer : Maybelline or bodyshop face primers good (Maybelline is more reasonable)

6.foundation-Bodyshop Oil free balancing foundation with spf

7.lipstick-Revlon superlustrous lipsticks are the best, apply some compact to your lips before applying lipsticks.

8.loose powder : Use a pressed powder by revlon colorstay.

9.blush : Revlon blush in peach

10.nail paints : Lotus nail paints are great, nice packaging, colors and do not chip for long time.

    Hope it helps!
Enjoy and be happy it will make a huge difference!!

  7. Congrats Dipti! I read all the suggestions and I agree with all of those. Be happy and u will see the natural glow on your face! take care, everything would be alright!

  8. Hi Dipti congrats πŸ™‚

For dull and dark – reason is oily skin..oil makes it look this way… start using oil control lemon+honey+neem face wash.. this will make your face look fresh and will remove the dullness.

Also try and apply multani mitt face pack ( can try forest essentials wala ) will help in glow part. As for acne marks apply kojoic acid cream is mild will slowly lighten ur scars , use oxy bleach only , this will make your skin lighten up (is for open pore and oily skin beauties).

Also start having some antioxidants ( oxy or antioxidant facials) and daily intake coconut water, cucumber will help πŸ™‚
    Take Care

  9. Hi friends
Thnaks a lot for ur good wishes and being so helpful

I have MAC studio fix liquid ,but even after applying it it makes no difference to my skin
Also i wonder if i can use liquid foundations since my skin is very oily.I also have Loreal Roll on true match .But that too doesnt make much difference in my skin.i tried lakme compact but after 1-2 hrs again my skin turns oily.I have tried salicylic acid 2% face wash ,it broke me out.and after repeated usage my skin became very dry.I drink atleast 15 glasses of water in a day.
My acne has subsided but few scars r visible. Thanks a million to u all,i had read reviews about fab india depigmentation cream ,it has reduced my scars by 50%.I dont apply lime on my face,i had once applied it with rose water and gone out .My face had developed rashes.I shall definately try these tips and inform u all about what have i brought.

Neutogena sunscreen makes a white cast on my face.i love my lotus sunscreen.
Also my engagement is on this Sunday.I shall upload my pics.

i forgot to ask about eyeshadows.and highlighter.i have heard great reviews for girl meets pearl highlighter but i dont think its avaliable in mumbai.i have revlon illuminator.but it doesnt suit my oily skin.i hate this bocz of my skin i cant use any good product which is highly reccomended
    tahnks a lot

I havent used body shop products shall try them
Also.i shall try sebamad face wash.

    1. neutrogena oil free moisture is good for oily ksin too.
ALso you could try Revlon colorstay foundation in oily/combination skin. Its so good in controlling shine for a few hours. I think Mac mineralize skinfinish is good for controlling oil and its also very good and can be used daily.

you should go to MAC and ask an artist there to try eye shadows on your eyes and you can buy the ones you think look nice πŸ™‚
