Inglot #16 AMC Lip Pencil Review

Hello!

Here is the review on one final shade from the AMC range of Inglot in the no. 16. I liked the range so much that I wanted to keep a nude from the collection in my stash, so here it is. Read on to know more.

Price:
INR 850/- for 1.8gm

Product Description:
A pencil that is thick enough to use as lipstick, yet it can be sharpened to a fine point for precise application as a lip liner. Avocado oil moisturizes, smoothes, and regenerates the lips whilst the modern formula ensures a long lasting even coverage with a velvety matte finish.

My Experience with Inglot #16 AMC Lip Pencil:

The packaging is smart and simple. The outer paper carton has all the required information regarding the product. The pencil is a twist up one, but still comes with a tip sharpener at the base so that you can do the precise lining with the same pencil. I would say that is a small addition to the packaging that adds value to high end brands. The body is matte black which adds to the sophisticated look of the matte pencil. The only problem is there is no color coding, so you have to remember the shade number, or use Rati’s lipstick storage technique if you have more than one from the same range.

The texture is smooth and matte at the same time. Unlike the moist matte lip colors, it applies like a matte color and not a moist matte; hence prepping the lips is something definitely recommended. Those who have super dry lips might feel a bit uncomfortable if you skip the scrubbing and moisturizing part. I apply the balm, do the rest of makeup, blot the balm with a tissue and finally apply the color. This is not over drying like the retro matte range of MAC, but drier than the Faces Velvet Matte or Colorbar 8hrs Ultimate Lipcolor range.

The shade is a light brown with definite pink undertones. It is exactly my lip shade, not a shade here or there. If you are higher than NC 42, it will tend to wash you out. One information would be this is not the My Lips But Better shade; it is ‘My Lips in One Even Tone’. See for yourself in the lip swatch.

The staying power is LONG; it lasted on my lips for 6 hours flat without any primer/lip liner. And the best part was it did not smear or bleed in the course of time. I really like the staying power as matte lipsticks stay but with problem like fading, staining or patchy look; none of which applies to this.
